Looking at this cam. Why does the hardwire kit have power needs to serve both "always on" and ACC circuits? Is the always on for a parking detection feature? I was thinking i would just put a female socket on an ACC circuit and plug it up under the dash to hide it using their included adapter. Am i missing something?
Thanks for sharing this video. I have just installed this dash cam on my vehicle using the hardwired kit; however. I'm not sure if the camera works when the car is not on. I believe I did everything correctly. How do you know that the camera is working when the cars is parked?
Driver side or passenger side is personal preference. I prefer the passenger side where it is out of my view and I’m not distracted by the screen. The rear glass does roll down. I’ve rolled it down 1 time just to see if it worked. It will probably never be rolled down again lol.
Unfortunately, my kids bought this for me. In Canada, this does not come with the hardwire kit. I had buy it separately from Amazon. Thanks for your prompt reply.
It’s been awhile since I got mine. Not sure when they stopped supplying it. I noticed it does not mention the hardwire kit in the description on Amazon anymore.
Did you end up finding a hardwire kit that plugs into both front and rear cameras? I got a hardwire kit since the camera did not come with one and later noticed the hardwire kit only plugged into the front camera and didn't split into a second cable for the rear facing camera.
How much more clear that he can demonstrate? His step-by-step instructions for installation are so helpful. He's that good!
Excellent installation instructions 👍
Thank you!

It has a 24 hour parking mode.

Question, does your rear camera stays on,after turning off your car?
Why did you install front facing camera on the passenger side of truck and do you not have a rear glass that goes down?

so wait a minute... do you have 3 cameras now? One in the front, one in the rear plus a tailgate backup cam?
Yes three cameras but the tailgate camera does not record.

Does your back window not roll down?
It does but I never roll it down. I also left enough slack just in case it gets rolled down it doesn't pull the camera off.
Where did you get the hardwire kit.
The hardwire kit is in the box. FYI Amazon has a $40 coupon for this item right now. amzn.to/3JHkMkj
I bought this camera with the separate hardwire kit. The hardwire kit is not compatible with either of the two Mazda’s in our house.
