Very interesting! I lived in 7 Sunny Mead for a while in the very early '70's with my parents before we moved back to Wales when I was about 14-15 years old.
I loved it there. My mother liked the design of the house. I find it quite sad hearing about the social problems that later blighted the area.

These towns were great when new 👍🏻 fit for purpose , factories , shops , bus routes , schools , new houses , play areas , pubs and community centres , all sadly left to rot !! Back in the day the criteria for council housing was very different than it is now , and it shows , the sense of community and pride is long gone , very sad 👎🏻

There was no pride in 1969 with the undesirables from Brum and Scouseland. The only ones that showed pride were the ones that 'bought' new housing, we got out late 1971 video passes bought houses on right at 20.35 Spring Meadow Sutton Hill.

@@jhareng I moved to Spring meadow aged 4 , in 69, we lived there until 73.
I loved it! and was sad to leave ! Oswestry where we moved to seemed like going back to the 29 40s in my young mind .

Excellent films: The Radburn system didn't work, it was just awful and still is yet the actual house designs were terrific.
