    @12.33 : One advantage with NBIoT over Cat-M is that on the uplink it generally uses either 1 tone or 3 to 6 tones in general. For single tone transmissions,it can take the advantage of the legacy GSM power amplifier devices already present and the design constraints are relatively simpler as you dont have to worry much about the PAPR issues with Cat-M which uses either 12 or more tones on the uplink. You could move the operating point of the PA closer to the saturation point in case of NBIoT thereby getting good efficiencies.

    @9.21 : The max Tx power specified is 23 dBm. It necessarly does not mean that the node will transmit at this power. There are some efficient closed loop power control mechanisms in 3GPP on the uplink.

    I just heard that T mobile is deploying NB-IoT in the US by 2018. All test were successful July 2017.
