His shows, however, were anything but child friendly. As he became very popular through the TV show, he was still doing stand-up comedy. One night, he walked out on stage and saw an audience full of children. He apologized and said he had to go back to the dressing room for a bit and he totally re-wrote his show to make it child friendly, and came back out and performed his new show.
