You are right, typically the fish are very green and active when seeing the watercraft, they will normally do another strong run at that stage. I was very fortunate on this catch that everything fell in to place with such a big catch 👍

Few Kingfish that size actually make it to the boat let alone a ski. Awesome job Andrew! You guys in NZ are blessed with a great fishery. The Seadoo looks good and seemed fairly stable considering the size of the fish and your side saddle seating position. I'm on a 2020 Yamaha Waverunner FXHO (which are supposed to be more stable) and even that's not stable with an esky on the back. Getting some jet ski collars to sort out the issue.
Thanks for watching Paul, the urgency was there as I was mindful it could be sharped! We are really fortunate to have a great fishery, if we do the miles we get the smiles 😀 The FISH PRO has great stability, especially at rest with its low centre of gravity, I even had fish in the left footwell during this battle and it still coped well with all its weight in one side. If you get a chance seatrial a Sea-Doo FISH PRO, you would be very impressed with how well the perform off shore and it makes it easy with it all rigged to go for fishing.
How big is that catch bag? Can you take a bigger catch bag to keep that size fish cool? I’m looking at starting jet ski fishing so any info helps. Thanks and congrats!

This is FISH PRO is the 2021, same as the FISH PRO 170 Sport. The new 2022 FISH PRO Trophy (North America version) is the only model that includes the swivel seat…
That was inspiring. I pick my Fish Pro up in May/June when it arrives. Quick question, bunch a people have said to me that a PWC is bad on the back. Do you find that your back is sore after fishing in the ocean? It’s not going to deter me. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time.
Family Tunigold I am excited for you 😎 another new FISH PRO owner, where are you located? For the any rough water riding I prefer to ride crouched or standing up, using your legs makes for more comfortable riding at speed 👍 I personally don’t get a sore back from riding.

Certain situations and sea conditions you can see some water in the foot wells, as soon as you are on the move and up on the plane the water will exit the footwells.
The FISH PRO is a very stable platform and the convenience of being able to beach launch it at this remote location made this catch possible. Check out some of my other videos, the sport is much more practical than what you have watched with such a big catch!

You seem to take on alot of water.. is that a concern? Does the water have a way of draining out of the footwells? Well done!
