Apparently, Chris Stapleton owns the effin world.... I am finding him either the writer of every great song I hear lately, or the singer of every band that catches my ear. How can one man possess so much talent???
He catches your ear for the same reason it catches mine. His songs tell a "real" story. He is simply doing an awesome job! I hope he keeps right on grooving.
It was a very short lived band. Personal issues came up(mostly the guitarist' wife had twins and he wanted to be home). Then Chris did his solo stuff and it blew up and rest is history. He still plays some of these songs live
My son told me to check out Chris Stapleton. Which I finally did. And it was good. Which led me to the Steeldrivers. And they are awesome. Which led me here. And this does rock. I'm so proud of my son

I have been listening to Chris Stapleton for a couple years now, ever since I saw him and Justin Timberlake on the CMAs doing their Whiskey mixes. I said, this man is the most talent I have heard since Ronnie Van Zant and than some!!! He never misses a beat, hits every note, he is absolutely a flawless talent. And just when you think he may scratch at some point, well its impossible! The first time I saw him in concert, I couldn't believe how he sounded. It was exactly like the cd and more. Ever since, I have listened to him religiously. This is the only music that calms my 2 year old down on a long car ride, since she is born. I finally learned, that he had these other bands he was with, the Steeldrivers and Jompson Brothers. His passion and diverse talent with song writing and singing is incredible. I find myself in tears watching and listening to him sing he just touches my heart. He is like an angel. I don't know how people can call todays music, music. Even todays country is a joke. This man should have been discovered a long time ago.!!!!! Happy for you Chris you deserve nothing less. Your wife is a dream as well!!
I wish that Chris would have kept this project going. I have been a huge fan of Chris since the Steeldrivers, love the Jompson brother and his new stuff is great but there is something about this rock that gets me going!!!
Stumbled on this band a year ago and was shocked I haven't heard them before...crazy how some bands kinda go on the way side..should be multi platnum selling band forsure...really good...song was, on the run...dumb founded me really....
stumbled on to stapleton via the steel drivers. love bluegrass and can't stand country. this guy grabs me like few others have regardless of genre. he's unbelievable. more of this please and more solo with his guitar and less commercial records. he kicks ass and doesn't need nashville or any label to make him what he really is what he could be. god damn AWESOME!
Some of the best new, old rock 'n' roll I've heard in ages! I love that Chris can, and does, sing all genres of music. He's one of those guys who probably knows there's 2 kinds of music - good and bad, regardless of where it's been pigeon-holed by a word (rock, pop, country, etc.)
And he does everything extremely well! He's probably the best vocalist in Nashville as one of the best song writers! One of the most talented guys you will ever find!
Chris proves one thing, when you put your soul into the song, it doesn't matter what genre the people want to put him in, he's passion transcends everything!
