Thank you Stevie, yes we all have changed and you have always been there for all of us through good and bad. Sometimes in my life all I had was the music. My mom died just two years ago at 77 years old and she didn't live her life very alive and didn't leave her room or bed for the last 10 years just because....and here you are at 74 kicking holy ass. God Bless you Stevie. Im crying as i tyoe this because my mom lived in Auburn Maine and Grandma use to live in Bangor. Im staying in the music forever....I'm in beautiful San Diego and keep nice and warm all year. Thank you for your service to humanity Stevie you have done more good then you could possibly know.
I love this video! I've seen her twice on this tour and enjoyed both shows immensely. Of course she doesn't sound the same at 74 as at 34. She still sounds great and still puts on an amazing show. She is a born entertainer who can leave thousands of people enthralled at an age when most folks only have the energy to comment on TH-cam videos. Speaking of which, it's amusing that the same people (99% older white men) who wrote repeated negative comments on my videos (about her age, weight, voice) are making those same comments on yours. They must not have anything better to do! Rock on Stevie, we love you, and thank you!
You got that right sister!! Women know to support each other and if they don't they will learn to. Some Men seem so threatened by age and I always try to get other women to embrace their age, love each other and never let the music go in your lifetime. 🎤🎸🥁❣️☮️🤙
There are wonderful comments here filled with Love & Joy, and there are some that point to a legit “technical” issue. BUTT also, there are too many filled with sadness & unhealthy vibes that throw shade on the human ageing process. Our comments speak volumes about our character (who we are and what we believe). Please think about that before you write. Thank you 😊
You are so right I saw her at her next show in brideport Ct she sounded a lot better than here she looked great who cares if she is in her 70’s she puts alot of younger singers to shame who are cancelling tours cause they can’t handle it or lip syncing I saw her so many times and will continue to see her a true legend!!
Stevie Nicks makes the song. Though some things may be off SHE'S right on point!!! One of those vocalists who's voice remains the same as in their youth,!!
If a person were to close their eyes and hear her singing here they would know it's her. As I said somethings may be off but this is what happens with age and wear and tare. But even so her voice is basically the same which keeps her in admiration iñ the eyes of her fans
Agree with comments 💯 but don't care! Still amazing performance. The song is one of the most beautiful and versatile songs ever. My favorite performance is Chicago 2010!
We live in a free country and everyone has the right to their own opinion, but my Lord…Spaces like this should be about honoring, celebrating and sharing our joy for the artists we love. No person or performing artist is or will EVER be perfect and performances will vary based on many conditions. Besides the point, the ultimate form of disrespect against humankind is to project one’s own disdain for the human ageing process onto another human being. Because this negative behavior is such a widespread issue everywhere, I’m going to repeat again. This form of disrespect is unacceptable anytime, anyplace and anywhere. And to all the Ponce de Leon’s out there in TH-cam land, if you think you can hide --- You Can’t! Other Channel creator’s with similar content that also receive negative comments @sgwarner can gain information about YOU. For example, you are providing data points that informs others as to your demographic and current state of mind. If you cannot add value to a TH-cam Creator’s space (and that does not mean you can’t disagree, or voice a legit concern), you shouldn’t be inside the space. Instead ask yourself: 1) Does my comment honor the content creator’s message 2) How would potentially hundreds, thousands, or millions of people perceive my comment 3) How do I voice a “legit” concern in order to give the content creator helpful feedback? Anyone who thrives on and attracts negativity, and/or is addicted to it, you might want to consider creating your own TH-cam Channel, with your own content (no plagiarizing) and build up your own subscriber base with other negative folks who resonate with your mindset. If negativity fuels your existence, you do have that option available to you. At least put in some work instead of showing up as a parasite in other’s space who wish to share joy. If you have read this far, thank you and peace out! ✌
i dont understand why people are so hard on her-she is not ugly overweight or a bitchat all-here is ( im 70) whos still doing it at 74? She is a legend-shame on you that dont realize what goes on before during and after a performance. I dont think the men in her life have been any good for her. I was at a Franki Valli concert not long ago-an he's 90-and hes doing some lip-syncing-the audience was booing him! What is the matter with these people? No shame, obviously.
Well...I'll toss in my two cents...all voices age & singers typically lose range, usually on the top end. It's up to each individual singer to deal with it as they can. I didn't have my guitar when listening to this one today but there was a version from a few years back where they had dropped the key a half step. A small concession. & my laugh was at the beginning when Waddy was pedaling on that chord I was waiting for him to break into " Eye of the Tiger".
I am no musical artist (just have basic love, an ear and an obsession for factual accounts). Your comment is much appreciated and resonates deeply! Love Survivor and especially Eye of the Tiger from back in the day and also the Rocky Balboa theme. Hit wonders of the time…(Oh Yeah!), brings me to back to happy days 😊 Nowadays, what I appreciate most are those artists who transcend all time (since I'm old enough to know). Stevie & Waddy are among the greatest Epics… Waddy KNOWS IT BEFORE ANYONE ELSE. Quoted by Keith Richards in 2010, “... With five strings you can be sparse; that’s your frame, that’s what you work on. ‘Start Me Up,’ ‘Can’t You Hear Me Knocking,’ ‘Honky Tonk Women,’ all leave those gaps between the chords. That’s what I think ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ did to me. It was the first time I’d heard something so stark. I wasn’t thinking like that in those days, but that’s what hit me. It was the incredible depth, instead of everything being filled with curlicues. To a kid of my age back then, it was startling. With the five-string it was just like turning a page; there’s another story. And I’m still exploring. “My man Waddy Wachtel, guitar player extraordinaire, interpreter of my musical gropings {sic}, ace up the sleeve of the X-Pensive Winos, has something to say on this topic. Take the floor, Wads.” Excerpt: Keith’s Biography: www.waddywachtelinfo.com/KeithRichardsLife.html
@@dineencasilli9743 Good comments all round. Thoughtful & heartfelt, I appreciate that. I did get the guitar out & they are in the original key. I kicked the 'Eye of..." intro around with 'Edge of..."...seriously in desperate need of a mash-up ("On the Edge of the Eye of the 17 Tigers"...😁😁 sorry, couldn't help it). The Keef comment about Waddy & the use of space reminds me of many comments I've heard & read over the years that "what you DON'T play is more important than what you do". Wise words, but honestly hard to do sometimes when you are in the moment. Keef's "secret sauce" on the 5 string tuning is he's not in standard but in open so he gets some resonance (multiple strings tuned to the same note an octave apart) that you can't always get in standard. Playing some of Keef's tunes in standard makes them sound not quite correct. As a musician - 45 years plus - when I comment it's from that place & measured when I feel some of the comments are not being - shall we say - accurate about the reality of what all musicians go through over time (my hands no longer work like they did when I was 18 for example), I have noted that sometimes people don't get that & I understand as the connection to music & an artist can be/is emotional as much as anything. On a side note to that I do not run my mouth without backing it up. I post my music on my channel.
@@dineencasilli9743 I did want to say I've worked with the same singer for 20 years or so (with some time in between when we did not live in the same area). Her voice has changed from the 90's.
