@@halfvader8015 I'm not saying there isn't toxicity in this community or even in this comment section, but I feel like we should give most of the commenters you're referring to the benefit of the doubt in referring to females as their hypothetical or literal partners as they're likely just referring to their gender preference for a partner, not necessarily stereotyping women. Not to mention the title of the video itself and the study its highlighting is referring to women. I agree, we shouldn't dismiss anyone outside of this hobby outright, but it is fair to state that if a potential candidate for your significant other isn't supportive of your hobbies and interests and find them a turn off, that there is an unattractive quality in that ignorance. The same can be said for women collectors who encounter men disrespectful of their hobby. I have a partner who might not understand my hobby, but respects my interests and sometimes engages with it to connect with me, I in turn respect his interests and do the same for him. If we didn't have this mutual respect and tolerance for one another, we wouldn't have been compatible, and that's okay.

Those women who find it unattractive are probably the same ones that wear tons of makeup, have of 40 pairs of shoes plus 15 bags costing $200+. The audacity.
I also play video games but not as much as I used to... I collect 1/6 figures but not extensively... But the biggest thing that I'm most self conscious from is that I rediscovered my childhood Lego Star Wars sets and discovered that I found it therapeutic rebuilding them... Now I'm slowly entering a new territory of interest...
@@Rust·Spencer·Cohle that is awesome. Enjoy your passion again. As I build those with my teenage son and daughter. My son is Star Wars and my daughter loves Harry Potter. And they both have quite a collection with a couple of 1/6th scale figures I got them. I view them like art pieces. And my kids have gotten into collecting. Enjoy your Legos. I am sure if/when you do find someone, they will understand your hobbies. And if they don’t, I have learned that life is short. Make yourself happy.
@@darth_batman8190 Thank you for your kind words. I'm the same way as I view my childhood Lego as art pieces too, I enjoy seeing them on display and they're nostalgic for me. I've even recently bought two new sets and will build them soon when I have the time. I'm happy to hear that you and your children build Lego together, that will for sure be great fond memories to have! If one day they stop liking Lego. Keep those Lego sets, trust me. I'm sure they will appreciate it the most when they're much older with the fond memories you all had together building them. You're right, I will remember what you said and keep it to mind. Right now I've been in a dark place and it's been like that for a long time but I found that building the Lego is what I helps me the most. Thank you again! I wish you and your family all the best.
I can explain from a fem perspective ,why I believe #1 and #2 least attractive hobbies are gaming and collecting figures ,even though i am a former gamer and current collector myself . It is because those hobbies are viewed as “ immature “ . Like i have mentioned before ,the moment a man is losing a debate with me online ,they would check my profile ,see my figures and tell me “ go play with your dolls “. Because by implying i am immature has to somehow discredit me. And on the topic, for men being immature that’s rather way too common . We see in het relationships ,the male partner doing no “ chores “ waiting for his female partner to tell him what to do ,to cook for him etc ,basically to be his mother ( with benefits lol) ,and women as a whole have grown sick and tired of babying men . So ,because of that hobbies that the society views as immature - playing games ,collecting dolls , women would see as a bigger indication of an immature person who won’t be an equal partner . I’m not saying ,that’s always going to be true ,but that’s how people see it,and that’s why those two are the top 2 most unattractive hobbies .
This is such a great topic that not many people seem to dive into. For the longest time, I treated this hobby like some kind of guilty pleasure. I've been collecting for over a decade now, and I never really told anyone about it. And it's not like I usually give a shit what people think, but this felt different somehow. I guess it's because, in my immediate circle, I don’t know a single other person who collects hot toys-plus, living in South Africa, the cost of importing this stuff is absolutely ridiculous. But for me, the joy of collecting is about escaping the brutal realities of life for a little while. Seeing my kids light up whenever they step into the collecting room is just a bonus. We’re all chasing that childlike sense of wonder and joy when it comes to collecting, and that’s what keeps me going. This is a great topic and I encourage those just to embrace your true self and make sure you are happy! (without breaking the bank 😉 )
Honestly... the kind of woman who agree with this list are the types who spend most of their free time looking in the mirror applying make up, or watching the Kardashians and other shit reality shows.
I am a woman who actually collects! I was so horrified when I saw those statistics. As a collector, I make it my mission to inspire people and bring a smile to people's faces! No one's happiness should be sacrificed for what we perceive as love. If anyone wants you to give up ANYTHING that is not a bad habit, (drug Addiction, alcohol and or smoking), they may not be a good choice for long term growth!
I wonder whether an unobserved variable of the lack of hygiene and being overweight has to do something with the results of the collectors and video gamers. Sadly, as people are completely absorbed by a hobby, they are not aware of their body odours and appearance.
I’m only buying the figure I personally like, I’m not buying every figure they put out. And I strategize my spending by buying 3 figures per year and strategizing at what time during the year to get the three figures and know at what time i have to do my responsibilities in case something comes up.
My beekeeping hobby cancels out my 6th scale collecting of Star Wars, '89 Batman and other pop culture related. lol. I can say, beekeeping is cheaper but physically harder!
Is taxidermy more attractive to women than figure collecting?! that has to be a joke!!! I'll have to learn to stuff dead animals to be sexier for the ladies! Joking aside, I completely agree with the points you make. Furthermore, these are not only pieces of art. They are expensive pieces of art. If a man has them, to some extent it reflects good work, stability and financial discipline. That should be pretty attractive too. ps. Is it my imagination or does that mark 85 bd that I see in the background have a new and improved pose? A few small micro adjustments work wonders. now it looks fabulous!!! very good work!!!👌👌👌👌👌
Most women I've spoken to over my years of collecting have found them pretty cool and been interested by them. And video games being unattractive? Who did they base this study on? Video games is probably one of the biggest hobbies of all time.
Video Games variable might be affected by an unobservable effect of lack of hygiene and being out of shape in many gamers. Every time I try to go out there to an event in a Lego store, or enter a video game shop, there will be bad smelling people.
The problem is not the fact we collect toys ,its the fact 95 percent of collectors hoard and their toys take over there home !!! TH-cam has given everyone fomo and when that new 200 dollar toy comes out. Your gal will be left out !!! Do the math .
My wife is also a big SW fan and the Disney spin offs. She loves when a new figure is delivered. She'll often tell me to buy a second of certain figures. Not so much one's with headsculpts, but helmets such as Tuskens, Shore Troopers etc. When I started collecting 2 yrs ago, she thought I was buying too many and was more worried about display space rather than cost. Now she just doesn't mind. I'm the one now worried about space.I only collect figures that mean something to me.
Dude as a woman I'm telling you don't worry about that I have at least 4 friends who collect figures maybe not high end and at most of their boyfriends collect some kind of figure or prop replicas it's alright 😊👍
I don’t know if I exactly put hot toys in the same category as action figures. They are way more impressive than your typical action figure. I kno my wife (gf) at the time thought my collection was really neat and she always was impressed with how life like they look. Now our daughter enjoys looking at them and can name all the characters haha
Lucky for me, I have an amazing wife who doesn't judge and supports my hobby, but in my opinion, how did taxidermy, magic, and bird watching not make higher on the list lol
I actually got my girlfriend into collecting herself. She was already nerdy, into other things such as anime and so dating me only made it easier for her to expand her collection. Especially knowing from which sites to buy from or which deals were worth it and such. Been together 8 years now .
I started collecting Hot Toys after I got married so it wasn’t a dating issue. I was at the time a Japanese Super Robot Collector and my wife only saw my collection a few weeks before we got married so it was too late to back out. 😂😂😂
Awesome video. Before I got married, I dated a few girls who were not happy with my action figure collection (power of the force Star Wars at the time). On my first date with my wife I showed her my collection and she thought it was cool and has been supportive ever since. Compromise certainly is important but as you said if someone is not going to be supportive of your interests they’re not worth your time.
My girlfriend and I met through collecting, we were both trying to buy a China exclusive anime figure and shared links on where to buy it, then just kept talking. She's great and also somehow ALWAYS manages to get in at the front of the Sideshow queue whenever I'm after an Exclusive.
@@WillFoxification For sure, man. I make sure to be a good partner and join the queues she asks me to, also, but she still has better luck with exclusives than I do.
Your first and last points are what have applied significantly to me. Like you said, people judge what they don't understand harshly. It's why certain things, say professions, like doctor and lawyer are so highly respected. People don't know much about them but from whatever little they know, they will conclude great things. Similarly, for almost all hobbies, people will not see any value in that unless you explain the hobby and its appeal to them. A lot of my female friends, who may not be into collecting figures, but are into watching movies, or TV shows or playing games, and have a favourite franchise of theirs, they can easily connect to and understand the appeal of collecting figures. Those that don't do anything similar, think that this is a bit weird i.e., they don't understand the appeal of it, but they don't care either. But the last point is the biggest thing. No matter who the person is, the second I tell them how much each figure costs, the look on their face changes to something could almost be considered appreciation/respect, even though the may/may not understand the hobby. That's because, as you said, they have all the info they need - that Hot Toys (and other similar figures) are "art pieces" rather than playing toys and that makes them a completely different thing in their head.
Bro love these thoughts. Completely agree. It's just a matter of introducing people to what they don't understand to show them there's nothing abnormal.
They are. But it's not really about women. If you asked men the same question what do you think they'd say about figure collecting vs say cars and sports? Most men aren't accepting of that stuff either! It's just a slanted poll.
Its unattractive to women who we can't be in a relationship with, meaning a woman we can't relate with in the geeky aspect...the passion to collect what we are geeky about.
I play video games. Collect action figures. AND have a passing interest in Magic (although not so much anymore). But by those metrics I should be single AF. Happily married for the last 7 years and additionally, never had trouble finding long term girlfriends.
Solid video and a great perspective to have! Thankfully my lady is supportive with the hobby so long as I’m responsible with making sure that our bills are paid off first and then with leftover money I can get a hot toy. Fair in my book and I’ve got 40+ figures in the collection so I’m a happy collector for sure
@@WillFoxification Seems like it’s rare nowadays but I count that as a huge blessing. I think all of us collectors have gone through a partner who doesn’t support it one way or another but I established from the beginning what I do and she was weirded out a bit and then once she started watching the Star Wars & Marvel films she was like “ok I see the appeal now” she’s not a fan per say but she does appreciate the content! That’s fine with me
Unfortunately there are quite a few "negative" stereotypes that are associated with "adult action figure collecting", and even more unfortunate, is the fact that quite a few of those negative stereotypes are fairly accurate. These stereotypes don't apply to all adult action figure collectors, but the percentage they do apply to is rather high. A lot of "adult action figure collectors" (AAFC) are socially awkward or just not social at all. Another alarming trait I've scene heavily linked to AAFC is OCD along with Autism. I don't have official statistics for this, but I frequent a local comic shop and regularly "shoot the shit" with the owner, and over the years he's brought up countless times how 90% of his clientele are "Incel autistic virgins that live in their moms basement". I definitely think he's over exaggerating the 90% number he threw out, but I do believe just based on what I've personally seen that it's probably close to 50% display those negative "Incel" traits. And the comic shop owner (Steve) has been in the business for 30+ years, so he's seen it all, and is someone that I'd consider reliable. I'm a collector myself, but I'd say I'm a fairly "small time" collector. I mainly collect sports action figures, with some Batman and X Men mixed in. Fortunately, I didn't start really building a true "collection" until I was already deep into a relationship with my wife. So when I first started dating her or just dating in general in my teens/early 20s, I didn't have action figures all over the place because I knew I'd never get laid if I brought girls home and my room/house was littered with action figures lol Its sad that this hobby has that negative reputation because I know there are totally normal guys out there that just like to collect action figures, and there shouldn't be anything wrong with that as long as it's not out of control. I've met some genuinely great/cool/responsible/successful guys that are collectors. But the truth of the matter is, for every "cool/responsible/successful" collector I've met, I've met/encountered five "Incel" collectors. It sucks that it is that way, but that's just how it is unfortunately. Shit is shit at the end of the day. With that said, and it hurts me to say this, I can completely understand why AAFC would be considered one of the most unattractive "hobbies" a man could have. I do believe Hot Toys might be a little different just because they are expensive "high end" collectibles, so just by nature you have to have some level of decent income to truly collect Hot Toys, which also means you have to have some level of "success" in woman's eyes to even be able to afford Hot Toys with any regularity. But even Hot Toys in most women's eyes will still be considered "dolls"... it just is what it is...
Well said, if a person really cares about you, they will understand your hobby and where you are coming from. At the end of the day, its important to do what makes you happy.
@WillFoxification - Great subject and the realities. I'm very fortunate that my wife and I share in the love of collecting, including in her special intrest in porcelain dolls, scale doll homes and her overal creative decorative nature in general. The embracement of the art and artistry on some many levels has only enhance our love and respect to each other... What a blessing, indeed. The enrichment of life is amplified via our excitement for our understanding and support for one another. "Make Today Your Masterpiece and Then Some." ~ HAWK 😎
I collect figures, play video games, cosplay, and keep Tarantulas lol. I think it's best to just be open about your hobbies and people will either accept them or they won't. As long as you are comfortable and confident in what you do the right one will come along. Met my gf and she instantly fell in love with the figures and started buying her own a few weeks later. Heck she even ended up getting a Tarantula lol. Now we share the excitement of these hobbies. Will be having a little one at the start of next year, and we can't wait to share the hobby with them as well.
My partner collects Barbie's for fashion shoots, so I am allowed to collect hot toys :) Although if I buy a new figure, she buys 5 x Barbies in retaliation
My wife has bought me every one of my hot toys figures. She has made me a few customs one as well. She think they are amazing works of art. But she won't order a deadpool 😢 she hates him.
A dude who collects should avoid a woman psychopath with anger or jealousy issues. These women will stop you from collecting and worse sell, destroy or vandalize them without your consent.
Girls never seem to mind my collection they’re actually quite impressed especially after I tell them how much the hobby is, basically like telling them you have a Gucci collection all they see is you have disposable income 😝😂but I also have my collection displayed and lighted nicely and I think women appreciate that and not just figures everywhere
What? they say that playing games and collecting is worse than gambling wtf Women just sit around and watch the talk and start drama that's all they do
My good lady doesn’t like collecting but it doesn’t take over the house or the room and I got rid of an absolute truck full like an 18 wheeler. The only thing she banned me from buying was Star Wars.
As a collector and part of the 4.1%, I'd say it's important to be financially responsible with your hobbies, assuming the bills are paid and it's how you choose to spend your time. The right partner will be happy that you're doing something you enjoy, and over time, they may come to appreciate your collection in their own way. Instead of forcing it, find ways to naturally incorporate them into it on their own terms.
This comes with zero surprise ... Someone could please send this study to Disney, so they stop trying to destroy franchises and sell products to an audience that doesn't exist.
Apparently! I’m still not sure but at the time I saw it covered on a few outlets www.outkick.com/culture/women-calling-out-least-attractive-mens-hobbies-its-not-good-us
I've dated a lot of girls and only one disliked my collection. The others thought my hot toys collection was cool and my current gf think it's cool but she doesn't care too much for it.
I learned that women like that want to manipulate your time you have to do what makes you happy I’m 62 I game I collect figures. I’ve been a comic book reader since 1960s and time where I threw it all the way chasing women and you know what happened when they broke up with me I had nothing, no hobbies it was like I didn’t know who I was. I’ve been married for 15 years and my wife is a gamer. I used to have women that felt that way I cut them loose because they wanted me to do everything they wanted to do watch their crappy lifetime movies with them, my current wife doesn’t make me do that people with no hobbies want you to entertain them?
If someone judges your hobby harshly when it isn't hurting anyone and genuinely brings you joy, throw the whole human in the trash and replace them with something new for your collection. As a woman with a basement full of figures, statues, and other collectibles, live your best life, my dudes. I support you all.
Amazing points and video. I’m my opinion we all collect art. Whether it be physical media, vinyl, comics, statues, figures, even books (which people will pick at times or buy again based on the art cover). What it comes down to outside of the association to happy memories or moments, is the love of art. And Casanova liked art too …so there’s that 😂 j/k but if people gave it a chance they would see that is the baseline. Even video games, yes it’s about interacting and becoming characters you could never be otherwise but most love the art, graphics, storytelling, and what go into it to create the experience. For others it’s about bonding as well and meeting like minded people who also love DC, Marvel, Star Wars, Ghostbuster and more.
Women have always hated men with hobbies because they shift their attention away from them. Figure collecting is also quite expensive so the chances of being taken out on expensive dates are less likely.
I've been collecting Transformers for three and a half years now. I loved them as a kid, and I can appreciate the design, engineering and thought process of them as a 51 year old. I honestly think they are works of interactive art. It blows my mind how posable they are now compared to bricks they were back in the G1 days. To the point. No woman will get between me and my collection.
Jeez I check off every single thing in that list…I’m happily married so idk what this is. She literally doesn’t like the collecting but I don’t like her hobbies so it equals out
Follow your heart and enjoy. Never let die your children soul inside you. Life is one. I'm 32 Cardiovascular Nurse my big passion is playing videos games, collect Marvel comic venom and miles morals, and exercising. My girlfriends love me the way I'm, She reads all kind of book. Life will bring someone to love you the way you are.
I don’t know about bags or hen parties…but I’m delighted when my hubby gives me a Hot Toy for my birthday or other occasion. He’s been my biggest enabler! 😂
Thanks so much for this one mate, another unusual and welcome one! It's interesting that this list is being displayed and interpreted differently by different people. And that rather than question its credentials it's unfortunate and reactive that so many here are just believing it and putting the blame on women. I mean that's probably part of the problem right there! And good point on the understanding/judging harshly. I'd say that collecting HTs is pretty different to say Pops or Pokemon or that sort of thing. And they're not exactly your grandma's Hummel figurines/the little trinket type things. For myself it's a conglomeration of things. I work in film and tv, animation and live action and so on. So in addition to the reasons you stated for collecting it's also a work related thing (and luckily I can claim a percentage back on tax!) for me which is unusual. I do do sci-fi movies, CBMs and so on so it relates in multiple ways and I'm unusual in that I will collect figs sometimes just for art's sake/the sculpting prowess and such. And unlike some it's not collecting in terms of completionism where the actual items can be secondary (much cheaper ways to do that!!) which I do feel happens a lot here. Anyway it's also been an influence to the point where a lot of my work now is sculpting. Anyway thanks again for the interesting topic! For me it's not even men/women but just people in general and the relationship dynamic... ask most men what they think about women colecting bags or shoes and I'm sure you'll get eyerolls there too.
I feel that there are a lot more women who also collect in the same hobby as we do but for some reason they kind of feel embarrassed which is why I like when you have ladies even on your channel and other people's Channel because at least it showcases that this hobby is not just men only that both can enjoy collecting but I feel that majority of women are just embarrassed to admit did they collect these things they're not embarrassed being a cosplayer because we see women in Cosplay a lot but when it comes to collecting statues and 6 scale figures it's like they barely want to be known that they do these things which is why I encourage for more women to go on these podcasts and bring themselves out there because you need to let people know this is not just for men women also do it too and to me that is a very beautiful thing
Pop culture is well ingrained into our society today more so then it was back in the early 90’s. There’s conventions and festivals that are specifically dedicated in celebrating everything we love about pop culture, and Hot Toys figures is a pop culture niche just like reading comic books back in the day. As a married person I can tell everyone that my wife doesn’t like how many figures I have in my collection, but she understands that I enjoy this hobby and it makes me genuinely happy. She collects Lego and Disney related stuff so for us it works out. If the person you like can’t even take time to under your hobbies or interests then it’s time to find someone else.
That’s truly an interesting topic Will. It might be worth looking deeper into this study and analyze exactly how the data was collected because to me it seems like there is a lot of bias in the paper. Nowadays more people of all genders than ever play video games. From my experience I’ve seen absolute brick houses, chads of the chads of men enjoying the hobby and doubt that women simply will pass on them just because of their interest in games.
Word of advice guys: don't shape your interests around what someone else thinks is attractive. You'll never be happy or fulfilled trying to satisfy other people.
Find the woman that appreciates you and respects your hobbies. Your hobbies bring you peace and there should be no tolerance for anyone that is willing to disrupt your peace. My coworker’s spouse has bought him statues to add to his collection, so there are cooperative women out there.
Hobbies are for yourself and are supposed to bring you joy. Not for others to judge. That being said every time I show a date my figure collection they are always impressed and proceed to taking photos, so this study is pretty much BS. I'v even given many women hot toys as gifts and they are always overjoyed. Unless you're dealing with a very specific type of person, most creative or creatively inclined people either love figures or just are ok with you having a different hobby.
This is why I say being in a relationship with someone who is into the fandom who is a cosplayer who also likes video games and things of this nature is always good because there is an understanding and sometimes they can contribute to the very thing but when it comes down to it if you're going to humiliate the guy that has a collection if you're going to talk down on him and tell him that I thought I was in a relationship with a man not a boy you're just making yourself a problem and if you're going to give me an ultimatum of it's either the collection or me I'm going to tell you there's the door because if you can't accept who I am and who I am as a person and that I also collect as long as it's not dealing with anything financially then that person is just not the one
I said this one on line group and got a strike for it. SO I'm going to say it here because I guess it's very true If somebody's feelings are going to get hurt. Personally there's nothing unattractive about having a hobby. It's there to keep you busy and keep you from getting into trouble doing something else. If women want to talk about something that Really is unattractive but for some reason they look past it. Is men needing to take medication to actually be a real man. If somebody needs testosterone or other medications to actually be a man you're anything but.
If a girl is just not going to call you or breaks up with you because she saw that you have a collector's room in your house or apartment and that's a red flag don't even bother trying to get questions just move on with yourself because she's not the one
From what i can tell, based on watching various TH-camrs, many married collectors tend to have wives who 'tolerate' the collecting, providing the 'collection' room, out of the way, in the basement for example. Also, i'm guessing here, those same wives probably think to themselves: Well, atleast he is in the collection room and not out getting drunk, or having a secret affair etc. As for 'singles' going on new dates, i would not mention figures, statues etc. Let the date like you first. If things work out, then s-l-o-w-l-y mention your collection. Hell, they might even dig it (probably not). I recall one time, i was in a restaurant, an informal Taco's type place, with some friends. 3 girls one of whom was with her boyfriend sat on the table next to ours. I got chatting to one of the girls, and she even gave me her phone number. I was not into collecting at the time, although i was really into video games. I remember her saying, she does not like dating guys with 'hobbies'. Hobbies covers an a lot of areas. I did mention video games, and my interest in them. She had nice b00bies! ^_^

I have a partner who might not understand my hobby, but respects my interests and sometimes engages with it to connect with me, I in turn respect his interests and do the same for him. If we didn't have this mutual respect and tolerance for one another, we wouldn't have been compatible, and that's okay.
@@MrErikMagnusson Absolutely, and that's what it's about at the end of the day. I guess it's the semantics of the whole thing and the carelessness with which it was approached/choice of words on both sides I was talking about. I was being a bit wry and raising the lack of self-awareness I guess. Like I say, you're right. It's not the usual thing and requires understanding not just flippant disregard. Or on the other side pf this, ranking on some sensationalist chart/unverified "study" that just sounds like some buzzfeed thing - but was taken as read regardless!
Wait til she finds out I bring in six "figures" a month. 😉

If you can't be yourself around someone, especially one who is supposed to care about you, are you even happy?
This is the question. Its not fun playing a character forever
Thats why no man should marry unless your girl accepts your inner geek
Those women who find it unattractive are probably the same ones that wear tons of makeup, have of 40 pairs of shoes plus 15 bags costing $200+. The audacity.
Yea...those women wonder why they cant get a man
yea ones like that want all your money to go to THEM.
Shit, I play video games too. I am an IT guy. If a woman cannot handle my hobbies, then I do not need her in my life.
And the converse is also true!
Based 🗿
I also play video games but not as much as I used to...
Excellent thoughts as always. That’s valuable insight
I am a woman and I collect hot toys. I would love to be with a man who also collects them.
Your collection will double if you merge, how awesome would that be? Especially if it's figures that you are also interested in.
Bro! Don’t ever be shy about your hot toys passion. We all support you and others will too. If they don’t try to understand you, they aren’t meant to

If a woman doesn't like my hobby then she isn't the one for me. The same goes for everyone that's a collector.
Yep! She is not the one

Honestly... the kind of woman who agree with this list are the types who spend most of their free time looking in the mirror applying make up, or watching the Kardashians and other shit reality shows.
Maybe so!
My girlfriend is the one that got me in the hobby and bought my first one and my first pre order for me 😊
Now that’s a quality gal
@@WillFoxification that she sure is! She’s a keeper! She Made me feel like a kid on Christmas again 😂
Probably stereotypical assumptions yeah!!
As a female hot toys collector this study is insane….i do wonder who was actually asked and how similar they were to each other
I’m only buying the figure I personally like, I’m not buying every figure they put out. And I strategize my spending by buying 3 figures per year and strategizing at what time during the year to get the three figures and know at what time i have to do my responsibilities in case something comes up.
Love this! Selective is good!
They are wrong women. I'm a woman and i'm collecting Hot Toys Star Wars
Damn you got a boyfriend? Haha 😂
You're a rare breed. Can't wait to find someone like you to be with. Not trying to be creepy but you're a dream girl for any male collector.
Nice! You got some of the men excited it appears 😂

@@WillFoxification nah, they're pretty chill if you let them bee 😎
I think women find it cool if you present it well, yeah. Never had a problem
This is why I need a woman who is into what I’m into or can understand and appreciate it and accept it
The problem is not the fact we collect toys ,its the fact 95 percent of collectors hoard and their toys take over there home !!!
TH-cam has given everyone fomo and when that new 200 dollar toy comes out. Your gal will be left out !!!
Do the math .
To call this a study is shameful to all research. And rating gambling lower than collecting is sad state of affairs

She’s in too deep 😂
It’s funny being a gay man I’ve found the opposite, the guys I date tend to be fascinated with my collection and like it.

I can understand why someone would find it unattractive, hot toys cost a lot of money and it can become an addictive hobby.
Valid but I’d say gambling is way more dangerous in that regard

And women would prefer you spend that money on them…
My wife is also a big SW fan and the Disney spin offs.
Let’s gooo! Calm our nerves!
We’ll be fine…. video games is number one and women pretty much gave up on that one.
Losing battle lol
I don’t know if I exactly put hot toys in the same category as action figures. They are way more impressive than your typical action figure. I kno my wife (gf) at the time thought my collection was really neat and she always was impressed with how life like they look. Now our daughter enjoys looking at them and can name all the characters haha
We had a good laugh & loved this video-! It may be one of youre very best, Will! Thanks👍 👍
Hahah thanks so much!
Lucky for me, I have an amazing wife who doesn't judge and supports my hobby, but in my opinion, how did taxidermy, magic, and bird watching not make higher on the list lol
Lolllll to each their own 😂
I actually got my girlfriend into collecting herself. She was already nerdy, into other things such as anime and so dating me only made it easier for her to expand her collection. Especially knowing from which sites to buy from or which deals were worth it and such. Been together 8 years now .
Dude that’s amazing! Congrats!
If it's a choice between being myself, a hardcore geek and dating a woman who thinks this stuff is shit, then I choose being myself every single time.
It’s not that they don’t like you collecting… it’s that they want you to focus that “spending money energy” on them 💯
Maybe that too!
It's over. Time for Will to date a nerdy girl that collects pokemon cards ;)
I started collecting Hot Toys after I got married so it wasn’t a dating issue. I was at the time a Japanese Super Robot Collector and my wife only saw my collection a few weeks before we got married so it was too late to back out. 😂😂😂
lol she was in too deep 😂
Awesome video. Before I got married, I dated a few girls who were not happy with my action figure collection (power of the force Star Wars at the time). On my first date with my wife I showed her my collection and she thought it was cool and has been supportive ever since. Compromise certainly is important but as you said if someone is not going to be supportive of your interests they’re not worth your time.
Awesome! Lucky man!
My girlfriend and I met through collecting, we were both trying to buy a China exclusive anime figure and shared links on where to buy it, then just kept talking. She's great and also somehow ALWAYS manages to get in at the front of the Sideshow queue whenever I'm after an Exclusive.
Now that’s a quality lady. She joins the queue for you
@@WillFoxification For sure, man. I make sure to be a good partner and join the queues she asks me to, also, but she still has better luck with exclusives than I do.
And these are probably the same women that collect shoes
My wife plays video games and has an impressive collection of hot toys, etc, and I absolutely love that about her. Those women are lame!
They are. But it's not really about women. If you asked men the same question what do you think they'd say about figure collecting vs say cars and sports? Most men aren't accepting of that stuff either! It's just a slanted poll.
That sounds like a collector who really likes Marrok but not Revan

Solid video and a great perspective to have! Thankfully my lady is supportive with the hobby so long as I’m responsible with making sure that our bills are paid off first and then with leftover money I can get a hot toy. Fair in my book and I’ve got 40+ figures in the collection so I’m a happy collector for sure
Love that! A supportive lady is great
@@WillFoxification Seems like it’s rare nowadays but I count that as a huge blessing.
Yep! Gotta be authentic

I’ve been a comic book reader since 1960s and time where I threw it all the way chasing women and you know what happened when they broke up with me I had nothing, no hobbies it was like I didn’t know who I was. I’ve been married for 15 years and my wife is a gamer. I used to have women that felt that way I cut them loose because they wanted me to do everything they wanted to do watch their crappy lifetime movies with them, my current wife doesn’t make me do that people with no hobbies want you to entertain them?
interesting insights!
How is online trolling a hobby …
legit no idea lol
She literally doesn’t like the collecting but I don’t like her hobbies so it equals out

...as an international playa.....women come and go..but toys stay forever! I rather be happy playing and posing my figures than be with a toxic woman!

Yes, buy me all Iron Man Hot Toys that I want, stop buying Star Wars for yourself! ^_^
Great content and trying a different topic. In a relationship we all need to be comfortable in our own skins. Otherwise it’s a little too superficial
Well it’s a good thing that a hobby is just one someone does and not their whole being….
That's because they want our full attention & funds at the ready 😂
No offense to the bird watchers, but I feel THAT is far more silly
@KeCoCollects it is very silly, but it means your outside in the fresh air and not spending much of her money.
Yeah appreciating beauty and detail with a dose of OCD is... wait that's what *we* do!! 😉
I guess I’m lucky cause my wife supports me on my hobby collecting hot toys.
One day you wake up and realise it all doesn't mean anything
it's true!
They wan‘t you to be a npc that spends all of his money on them.
We beat gambling and bird watching. 😮
