  • My daughter was having trouble "sizing" the sled while doing research. Hope this video helps for anyone who is thinking of buying this sled. It is a great sled. Thanks for watching.

Well I grew up in the seventies and eighties and that was when Polaris had the Colt 295 which was an adult sled. Then I had a TXL 340 and then I had an Indy 500 and then an Indy 600. So snowmobiles used to be small until modern days. So of course this could be an adult sled.
Also, you can shut the governor off. The 550 is a healthy engine.

Thanks for that adult review. I’m 5.7 250lbs, looking at getting the Evo RMK for my daughter 16 and for me to play in the bush and around the back country. I’m Not much of a trail rider and think this would be perfect. Electric start, reverse, hand / thumb warmers. Perfect 👌

Thank You for making this video. It sertantly show the small diferences made.
    I almost bought a 2019model, but ended up bying a 2.hand ski doo 600ace.
For me, it was about noice, and the discomfort of the quick engines above the Evo.
In the end the ski doo was a bargain price, that could not pass me ;)
Could have turned around, and earned money passing it on.
The Evo still exites me, because of the size, and ergonomy.

And you can always remove the speed limit, and adjust the suspension to a «bigger» one

Polaris Needs to reinvent itself for Smaller riders and regain that Small person market share. Bring back a Wedge.
My GF is 4.8 92 lbs. She's 40. I had tried her on the 800, 600. There way to BIG! I have older 440 sks and 500 and they fit much better for her.
but finding parts is getting harder. The Evo speed limited is a pain! Would be nice if it wasn't on the machine.

You can disable the speed limiter on it

I wouldnt get too caught up in size, the older smaller sleds doesnt handle nearly as good as a modern one. And a lightweight driver who knows his stuff can easily handle any sled better than a heavy guy who think he only gotta lean far enough to make the sled go where he want, friend of the neighbor is such a guy who think he is the best coz of his weight and its not a delight to watch, if your GF already know how to countersteer to initiate a turn she can already handle a big modern sled better than him.
I didnt quite get why top speed is so important to her, Evo looks to be doing well over trail cruise speed.
