We visited The Snake Discovery Center on Sunday 10/10/21. Everything looked amazing. We surprised our 14-year-old son Corbin for his birthday and brought him here. The kids enjoyed the experience and couldn't wait to tell their friends at school all about it. We drove 3 hours just to come and check it out! I have shared pictures with my preschool students and they were really interested and excited to learn more! I have a feeling you will get many more visitors from Northern Minnesota!
You know... Emily does reptile programs (at least I think she is, but not sure now zoo open?)... I'm sure the preschoolers would love seeing some (non-squishable) reptiles.

@@bibarel4665 In one of the videos, they mentioned that they will have set office hours (when they will be working on paper work and will be off limits for customer interactions) and "floor" times for when they will be out and interacting with people. But, to be sure, I'd call ahead of time and explain your situation.
I want to see one of Ed all about emerald tree boas. We'll that would be only two words and one second long " they suck".
I could repeat everything I've said to y'all personally, when we were there in June, but honestly, I don't have the patience to type it all again. You did it. I have to admit I'm a little sad about no longer having the excitement of seeing new updates for the zoo soon, but I'm so happy all (or at least most) of the animals are finally settled in! I'm excited to come to visit someday when I have time to make the trip.
This is just phase one, they'll be back with updates when they decide to do the greenhouse.

As a viewer who's watched the facility updates since the very beginning, it is SO rewarding to see it all come together. I can't even imagine how it feels for y'all!
Went there last weekend and I absolutely fell in love with the cribo! So pretty omg! I got so many amazing pictures and even saw a snake eating which was sick. Great job on the zoo, guys! Even my mom who is terrified of mice and snakes had a great time

Oooh, I would love a video like that! It could be like an April Fool's Day prank. Pretending that all the future videos will be hosted by Ed, and only about Green Tree Pythons! Of course they would make it a legit informational video too, tho!
This is going to be a huge taking on. Make sure you and Ed take care of your mental and physical health, your employees' health and as always, the animals. I love what you've done with all your animals and I can't wait to see more from your zoo! You two are truly a treasure and a much needed asset to this world.
I remember watching the videos when they first announced this project and boy does it seem so long ago. It’s amazing to see how far they have come and I can only wish that they continue doing well and I can only wish one day I get to see it all in person!
I can’t believe that it’s actually gotten to this point it seems like yesterday that they were buying the building but it’s been such a long process and it’s so fun to look at good job

There was just found a zebra spitting viper in my town and we definitely don’t have resources to help him. They may contact you since they’re looking for a zoo to take him! I figured you could place him with a responsible owner or help him, either way! I also sent info through Instagram! Hopefully we find a better situation for him, since he was defanged and abandoned in a dumpster.
Boost. Maybe if they can't take him, they could pass him on to the venom lab folks. I remember their poor defanged copperhead, and I don't know if the viper might need specialized vet care.
If not Emily maybe Kevin @ NERD will take him, he's his own veterinarian, and has TONS of experience with abused reptiles. He has a King Cobra that he rescued that had its venom glands removed and he brought him back from the brink of death

You could also reach out to Chandler's wildlife or the folks over at NERD or heck even viper keeper as they all handle hot snakes on a regular basis.
I saw NERD was downsizing so I wasn’t sure about them but I know they might know someone that could help, thank you for the suggestion.

i was obsessed with this channel like in 2018 or so, i learned a lot from it, things happened and i lost the track of this channel, and i came back AND YOU GUYS HAVE A ZOO! that’s amazing and it makes me so happy to see the snakes and reptiles that i loved in a bigger place, specially Rex she seems way happier and BIGGER.
i live in México but if some day i get to visit the states, I NEED TO VISIT THE ZOO! congrats Emily and Ed, what you guys do for animals is priceless.

Found this channel from one of their egg hatching and Rex videos. I think it was before the channel reached 1M subs. I wasn't really a fan of reptiles before and I wanna thank Emily and Ed for making me appreciate these animals more. So great to see how far you guys have come. You are my spirit animal! When I was younger I loved lizards and snakes and critters and wanted to work in a zoo one day. Life had other plans, but I get to live vicariously through your adventures! I love what you and your team are doing. I even befriended a jumping spider last year to save it from the cold winter thanks to your tutorial.
