- So after the last video where I checked out Nextbots on Roblox, a lot said it would be worth me checking out the OG experience and playing Gary's Mod, so that's exactly what we're doing today! Somehow this made the nextbots even more terrifying than before. Enjoy!

The fact that there’s a backrooms map means that people are still making gmod maps in 2022 which I think is really cool.

the backrooms wasn't just invented in 2022, it got popular but its been around for awhile so someone could have been making backrooms maps before.

Nextbots probably are one of the best and funniest things on Gmod and seeing Ryan play with them is really cool
so if modified versions of the sanic nextbot with different images and music are "one of the best and funniest things on gmod", then what are the mods that actually have effort put into them then?

@@shadowtheheadch0g the ''best'' in nextbots come with playing it with your friends, not the mod itself, its something simple, funny, that can both make you have fun with your friends and laugh when they get jumpscared by something silly, there isnt much to do with friends outside of killing eachother or some giant monster when it comes to other mods, so it is something nostalgic AND simple but still functional

There is a map called gm_liminal or something like that, which ticks every box for me. I watched The Librarian do an exploration video on it

Man, hearing the name Venturiantale hurt a lot more than it should have. I miss him and his siblings. I remember watching his chaotic Acachalla and P.I.E. roleplays all day long. You don't find such quality of actual fun and entertainment nowadays.

I think Ryan should explore a "haunted/horror" Gary's mod map. I'd love to see that.
Even with the Error killing Baz at the beginning, it was still absolutely terrifying. Nothing causes fear like a giant Error message slowly approaching you.
I personally think Ryan should make a second, uncensored, channel so he can go wild...

day 29: i love that you are doing these episodes on roblox Ryan! you should really try out isle, i think you might really like it. it's a very unique game where you're stranded on an island and have to find a way to escape but *something's lurking*. i also recommend playing with friends on a private server because public servers are filled with people not that friendly. hope this gets a lot of like so Ryan can see this!

If you’re gonna be doing more Gmod stuff, I highly recommend checking out a game mode called LIDAR for 3 Random Games.
Without spoiling too much, LIDAR has no objective or goal (hence why I think it’d work better in a 3RG), but it plays with a VERY unique concept of sight as a game mechanic that’s both appealing to look at and utilizes it into an honestly terrifying experience. From what I’ve seen, it can be a pretty slow burn and it takes a variable amount of time for stuff to happen (might be easier to edit, given that), but when it does, you’ll find it isn’t remotely subtle about it [insert evil laugh here].
If you do take this suggestion, the map I highly recommend playing on is gm_construct, because it’s the only map that I know for certain the game mode works best on, especially in its horror aspect. ;)

Somebody modded Nextbots into Teardown, and I know at least Obunga exists, but they aren't limited to existing pathways, they smash through as many walls as they need to to get to you

great video as always ryan, i love the nextbot videos, especially seeing you and baz play together! you should try a map with objectives and more complexity! it will make running from the nextbots even more fun, otherwise you might get bored of them, and nobody wants that!

Hey Ryan, this video was great! Today I found this horror game on Steam called The Fridge is Red. It has a vhs style and ominous setting to it. Although it's a demo, you would probably have a great time playing the game.
