This is one of my all time favorite shows.... I wish they'd have continued the humor in Major Crimes, it was certainly missing. The combo of humor in drama is so well done here.
Though they sometimes fought, mainly for professionnal reasons, they were from the beginning a strong couple and I liked that. Chemistry like rarely shown.
LOVE the Closer and Major Crimes - but 6:18 scene is one of the funniest things I've ever seen! Had me laughing for days. Her screaming is still in my ears. LOL
Yes! Two bodies roll out of the casket down the steps and one is a hot blonde. Provenza says "I guess you CAN take it with you". I'm still laughing! And Beau Bridges is an American treasure. My generation. We ALL grew up together in the golden age. It's gone forever.
I like Fritz saying that, with the curtains drawn, they are living like Anne Frank, and when Provenza suggests that his new GF be shown some of his interviews, Buzz suggests the one with John Wilkes Booth.

This show was so well put together it is ashame that it stopped production . Yes I had pick up on the spin off with Mary McDonald who is a fabulous actress but I was not to keen on Rusty who was just a whiner that kind of turn me off to the show but was surprised that the spin off lasted until 2018. Maybe Bacon/Sedwick can do a TNT/ Netflix movie of the closer.
Sedgwick only contracted for 7 seasons, then she was over it. Moved on to something different. Losing the humour aspect made Major Crimes a poor second choice. 😢
I like them both, I like how they start off like oil and water but then learn to respect one another. Brenda's a acquired taste as she is manipulative and uses her talents as a defense mechanism. She's very human.
