  • The talk highlights the way the world has and is rapidly changing and how technology has penetrated most aspects of our personal and work life, irrespective of career path. There is need to develop skills, competencies and leverage technology to be able to function in our current digital and highly technological environment. Digital literacy and fluency have become requisite skills for the present and the future, it is important to not only acquire these skills but also make use of the skills. She is a researcher at the Northumbria University, working with NUSTEM; a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) an outreach group within the faculty of engineering and environment.
    With over 15 years cumulative experience in telecommunications, service quality, strategic planning, research, STEM engagement, monitoring and evaluation. She is a Director at TechQuest STEM Academy, which provides STEM, ICT and digital literacy capability building programs.
    She works with teams to co-create projects, design evaluation tools, evaluate impact of STEM interventions & outreach activities. Her research interests include nurturing interests in STEM disciplines, STEM related work and bridging the digital divide particularly in Africa.
    She is a Member of the Energy Institute (UK), the British Education Research Association, UK Evaluation Society, IEEE Education Society, IEEE Women in Engineering, IEEE Young Professionals & the British Academy of Management.     I agree with everything said. We are all learning something new everyday everything's changing everyday in our society and we all need new places to make our lives valuable

    Thank you for your speech Dr. you are absolutely correct about everything. It is important to give the population who have done their schooling to be allowed into the workplace to be educated and adapt to todays society.

    I agree to with continuously learnig. I will help. First by developing my skills of technology. This is what Iam doing now in school for the growth of technology skills then pass it on through my children and grandchildren. This will start the cycle of growth through me.
