I think yours was probably defective cause i saw one at costco turned on as demonstration and wasnt doing the buzzing sound and was running fine

Mine doesn’t make any different sounds but definitely shaky in the fan motion

Great fan. Quiet, efficientmoves lot of air. Poorly assembled.
