  • I love how fans can compliment a central air-conditioned house, but these things are super critical in areas where there is no A/C. Basement gyms, garages, outdoor areas, etc. Lets see if this fan that sold at Costco meets my expectations for $39.99

I bought this Lasko Remote Fan recently. It has alot of nice features but ultimately I decided to return it for 3 reasons.
    1. The fan is not like the other Laskos....its tilted upwards a bit by default so the wind doesn't blow in a horizontal form it blows upwards which was inconvenient because the wind cannot reach low areas like sofas or beds that well.
    2. The Weight of the fan is almost too much for the adjustable column causing the fan to slide down multiple times
    3. No matter the speed you set the fan it always starts off at the highest speed which comes off as quite noisy making you have to press the buttons multiple times to set your desired speed. The other Laskos remember your desired speed which is very good.

Sorry about that. Didn't notice those problems.

What is the temperature icon for? The instruction manual is useless. Also you didn't demonstrate how to assemble.

Sorry i called it out but didnt have time to explain it. Its basically a thermostat so you can set a temp for it to kick on and off. Heres a video of that from another YTer. th-cam.com/video/N-KSi5Ku_fI/w-d-xo.html

Great review. The temperature (thermostat) feature made me buy two! I also found it tough to open the first remote for inserting the batteries but the second one was fine.

Awesome. Sounds like a quality issue on the remote door 😀 enjoy them!

    How does the temperature works

You can select a temp between 60 and 80 degrees (increments of 5). When the temp in the room exceeds that number, the fan turns on. Pretty cool!

It's so hard. You gotta be careful not to break it but it's no joke what hulk tightened that up lol.
