Just as a note, the Bloodtithe from the Skull Altar is contingent on trying to ignore a spell, not something I should have been rolling for every turn - read your rules (and their headers) thoroughly! 😅
I was just going to comment on this, watched this epic battle the other day and was trying to figure out how you were getting the roll as I thought I missed something in my list. I've been running one of each bloodthirster, skarbrand and a slauhterpriest, give the wrath of khorne BT King of blades to turn off hero wards and watch them smash face. Give it a go, I am 3/3 so far with it. Keep up the great videos.
18:32 if I am not mistaken 18.3 from rule set says that you have to remove models in coherency, if you do so that they aren't you have to remove models till the unit is coheret.
hey Jordan you make a mistake with the skull alter you can't get blood tithe from the skull alter in the hero phase. you can only get blood tithe from hatred of sorcery from a reaction that can give you a roll a 5+ for 1 blood tithe and spell ignore effect as long your unit within 18" of the skull alter that your priest is inside the skull alter
Well technically you can. Then you remove least amount of models needed to get back to coherency. Sometimes you even have to. Like 10 models 32mm or higher in 5x2 directly in square without offsetting rear rank. Can't remove more than 1 model without breaking coherency
Mortals tremble across the land when the Bloodmaster and his legendary "Caller of Something" take the field. What does it call? No one knows. Maybe ghostbusters. Maybe it calls my grandmother.
You only "mispray" on an unmodified 1 as far as I can see in the rules. Or are you saying that you don't mispray but you also doesn't get to keep the points?
There really good at scoring take the flanks and can be surprisingly good in combat. But they are not resilient and will die if they are charged by nearly anything. So you have to be smart about there positioning to make the most out of them.
Ironjawz have a really big problem: no mobility with no cheap screens… enemies just decide which piece they take from you and maw gruntas always look like a nice target for that
and when can you use it? like if its my turn and i want skarbrand to use roar of total rage, and also do melee attacks. Can i select him to do both immeditately? and how does it work on the opponents turn? thanks
Jordan If you roll 2 on magical Intervention (Prayers) NOTHING happened. You have just two options in core rulses: Unmodified 1 and 2+. Modified 1 does nothing.
Manifestations counts as Units, right? So u got a BT Point killing them? 0 Move Manifestations only count as units in Combatphase, so u get a Point only killing them in Close combat?
Isnt the blood thirster only preventing choosing a different Pile in target? I still can swing into something else. Picking the pile in target is something different to what you attacking
bloodthirster can easy be a missile hero. his threat range can be 26" if you auto run and murderlust but you have to have heroic traits call relentless hunger on him to make this missile him into opponents unit and this let you be a hit and run hero after killing a unit so if anyone try going for your bloodthirster you can redeplay and murderlust out of harm way. bloodthirster fury is the best bloodthirster right now
In Feral Foray all 4 large pieces of terrain are obscuring. So at 21:50 Jordan could not have given the 3d6 charge from the Unfettered Fury to the Bloodmaster.
I do think that the list and units showcase in this battle report are really not optimal. You still have great plays and tools in Ironjawz but you need to play a different style that what we use to do in v3. That’s it.
It could have gone differently quite easily, killing skarbrand with the brutes for instance, or playing his left flank better so the bt didn't eat half his army. Dealing that much to his hackin crew in one combat was hot rolling.

Ironjawz t3 Battle tactic should have failed, no? The Warchanter died during that turn.

You can no longer pull out of coherency so at 18:21 Jordan couldn’t have pulled like that to prohibit the Mawcrusher from piling onto the objective.
I mean, if he wanted to get on the objective, mawkrusha can pile in 2D6" on the charge.

IJ would have failed Do not Wavier because the warchanter died.

Exactly what you should expect from a Khorne vs IronJawz game. Awesome batrep
those bloodletters look amazing!!!! love the super vibrant red
Great game! It makes me excited to try out my Khorne army!
Not sure if it would have mattered or not but the Bloodletter should be getting D3 back at the end of each turn as long as they are in Combat.
I'm a simple man. I see Blades of Khorne, and I hit that Like button.
Rolling a 2 down to a 1 on a magical intervention does not allow you to use the banked points as you need a 2+
You only "mispray" on an unmodified 1 as far as I can see in the rules. Or are you saying that you don't mispray but you also doesn't get to keep the points?
@@Peter.B.Son a natural 1 you lose d3 points, on a 2 you do lose points, but you cannot bank the 1 point or chant because it's not a 2+
Modified 1 does nothing. You will not loose D3 and you are not able to bank or use points as well.
What kind of lights do you use in the corners of you’re game mats
Was wondering the same
Always love a good Khorne fight !
I have yet to see Bat rep where the maw grunta does anything but die. Would like to get a sense of what it can do with the momentum mechanic.

Most units die

Natural Disaster (+ attack for unmodified charge rolls of 8+) doesn't affect hero units 🙂
Guys help me to figure out how skarbrand's roar of total rage work, you count number of damage points skarbrand have himself or his target?
the number of damage on Skarbrand himself
Thanks!
and when can you use it? like if its my turn and i want skarbrand to use roar of total rage, and also do melee attacks. Can i select him to do both immeditately? and how does it work on the opponents turn? thanks

Were does this 5+ blood tithe comes from, when your priest ascended
Should only be a reaction to a nearby unit bring targeted by a spell - on a 5+ gain a blood tithe abd ignore the spell effect.
I don't think Jordan got any blood tithe points this way so didn't affect the game.
Exactly i was like what is going on
Slaughterpriest ability?
Skarbrand does mws on a 4+ no?
Yes for his rampage
Ahhh i wanted Blood and thats exactly what you gave, what a lovely slaughter! BLOOD for the Blood GOD! 😄
Manifestations counts as Units, right? So u got a BT Point killing them?
0 Move Manifestations only count as units in Combatphase, so u get a Point only killing them in Close combat?
Manifestations are not actually units, so they don't count as units killed for scoring.
@@SeasonofWar Ty for the information.

Obscuring has nothing to do with visibility anymore. Just prevent shooting.
Also, the ability no longer has a range. It’s just any daemon on the board in 4th.
Hero hammer!
Someone buy these guys a dice box
Fellow Canadians?! On the TH-cam’s!!
why does he get a bloodthite on a 5+? what ability is that? cause its not blood sacrifice
He used it wrong.. read the other comments for more info..
Really hard to watch Ironjawz these days. Insane seeing how much more damage, movement and abilities every other army has. IJ is just outclassed.
Comment for the algorithm.
Second that

Gore gruntas and big pigs are very bad now… only brutes and ardboyz peeps 🙏🏻
Big pigs are bad? Lmao
@@AngryAcolyte very much my friend! In any winning list! But amont the nicest model

Ironjawz are such a joke now. It is a sad day for IJ players.

Did we watch a different game? Looked fairly even up until the very end.

Hoping that GW was just being cautious and we will see some pretty big points reductions in balance pass. A lot of IJ seems overcosted.
@@martym3815 their heroes are, gruntas and weirdbrutes, maybe the normal big pig and ragerz slightly.
iron jawz are just awful in 4.0
I have't played them yet but brutes looks fine.. pigs and mawa don't.
AOS 4: Best of the Worst edition.
Keeping battle tactics as they were in 3rd is a terrible mistake imho.
There is no more perrils for prayers 1 in 4ed?
natural 1 lose D3 praying points
