Directed by Peter Horton - Michelle Pfeiffer's husband at the time. There's so much talent on screen here between her and Val Kilmer, that if this Afternoon Special had been longer it might have been eligible for an Oscar.
One Too Many was eligible for an Emmy, but it did not receive any nominations. Season 13's I Want To Go Home was the only afterschool special nominated for Outstanding Children's Special. It lost to the CBS Schoolbreak Special All the Kids Do It.
I wish the show was at least a majority of the screen. This one is hard to find a good copy of. I heard about it from another channel that linked this one.
We use this format as well as watermarks to prevent other TH-camrs, TikTokers, etc...from copying and reposting our own content. If you were referred from another channel, please let us know which one and we will thank them. But, if you saw our watermarks on their content, then there is a high probability that channel copied some of our videos without our permission.
@TheAfterschoolSpecialist Ok, that makes sense. I didn't think about people copying your stuff but I get it. Yes, the channel My so called Gen X life is who suggested we come here to watch after doing a video on her favorite after school specials.
We are repackaging them per recommendations from TH-cam. Since we have over 200 videos, it's going to take some time to repackage and upload all of them. We are going to try to upload the top ten or twenty afterschool specials over the course of the next few weeks.
One Too Many was filmed in 1983 and shown as an Afterschool Special in 1985. Scarface was also filmed in 1983, but released at the end of the year (December).
I suggest young get your eyes check they don’t look over 30 especially Michelle and Val who were in their 20s during this, this was actually film in 1983 so Michelle was 25 and don’t look 30 at all , why the rudeness
LOL! This is your second comment. We have no idea why you are taking this episode so seriously. Rin (the VTuber) is 16. Everyone looks old to her. Lighten up.

Val Kilmer and Michelle Pfeiffer !!! It's amazing at the future stars these after school specials had, I feel ancient.
Hard to believe this was after Top Secret, Lady Hawk and Scarface.
Mare Winningham
Michelle Pfeiffer
Val Kilmer
What a cast
The episode was filmed in 83. It was shown as an afterschool special in 85.

Mare Winningham was also Val Kilmers 1st girlfriend when they were in school together.
Although its 1985, i feel as though it is much earlier circa 1980 or 81.
Val Kilmer!
Who the hell speed runs into the middle of a road with a fast moving car heading your way and on top of all that in the dead of night too?!
LMAO. She's a teenager.
Hey what happened to all the rest of the videos that was on this channel where are they I wasn't even finished watching half of them???????

Thanks for watching and commenting.
Wish I could watch video full screen without animation. Its very distracting.
🤔 Did you know it was a reaction video before you watched it?
No problem. Give some of our newer videos a try.
I like the avatars myself, and the conversation they add.
Scarface made Michelle famous, this was after scarface, so its not before she was famous

One too many is a weird phrase. It wasn't the last drink that caused all the problems.
Are you in Gen Z?
@@TheAfterschoolSpecialist No, I'm a Gen Xer.
