This is from '97-'98. That stage banner was not around in '95, and I don't think they even had it in '96...possibly toward the end of the year. Also, Mushroomhead wasn't playing in the Agora Theatre in '95...they were still using the Ballroom back then...and this is in the Theatre. I was there at these shows during this era...and this is DEFINITELY not 1995.
I saw Mushroomhead open for Down at The Odeon in ‘95. Was before Superbuick. Was a badass show... before the internet as we know it today and NO ONE had cell phones, just a lot of pagers. I miss those days sometimes. Back when there was such thing as ‘underground’ music.
First, Superbuick was released in '96. Secondly, they didn't just play 'new' songs for soundchecks before recording them...they played 'new' songs live during shows well before they were actually recorded. There were a few songs that were released on Superbuick that were actually played live before Superbuick came out. Same with 'Born of Desire'...I can remember them playing that live at shows in '97, but it wasn't released until mid '98 on the Mushroomhead Inc. Sampler.
Chris Bombino I agree. This is from '97-'98. That stage banner was not used in '95, and I don't think they even had it in '96. agreed... and now we don't even have gravy or pig either :/ but on the bright side, at least the band is still around. there aren't too many DIY bands that can last 20 years.
its a shame you go see mushroomhead now only 2 of those guys up there play full time on stage with skinny only playing half of the set on drums if your lucky
+MurderNickelGaming So i guess neither DJ Virus nor Bronson performed live on samples until around 2001, because I just see Schmotz along with skinny in the stage background on all shows until that year.
that's not correct. they had this song recorded on superbuick. they're just warming up. do you really think they used bwomp just for a fucking soundcheck? you're kidding me right?
I know this comment is old but... it wasn't unusual for bands to play upcoming songs during soundcheck. In a 1994/1995 show, Green Day did play a song from the album that came after Dookie, for example. Mushroomhead could've totally done the same thing. Also you can find pre-M3 shows in which they play songs like Solitaire/Unraveling or Born of Desire.
Love how J-Mann just shows up like 'sup.. Bwomp? Cool' then just bursts into it. Legend.
Jeff’s voice is so crisp and on point. Haunting and beautiful.
It's like an alternate universe Mushroomhead with no masks and Jeffery Nothing has hair lmao 🤣🤣
Look at Jeff with the hair. I love it.

Underground still exists... do you know KFC Murder Chicks ?
this was just a rehearsal and it was epic
Some songs were used in soundchecks before they were recorded for the album.
Love how J Mann just walks in on the song and joins in lol

J-Mann atrasado 0:33 kkkkkkkk
his voice sounds good in his younger days
This sounds so much better than their live shows now. Shroom is the best band ever though. Even today.
No one gonna talk about seeing Richie and JJ without masks?
I'm fairly sure this was around 97 or 98. I recognize the stage set-up from around that time.
Chris Bombino I agree. This is from '97-'98. That stage banner was not used in '95, and I don't think they even had it in '96. Nice to see you're still active jpopson. Loved your channel 10 years of TH-cam.
Jeffrey "Nothing" Hatrix - lead vocals
Jason "J Mann" Popson - rapping vocals
Jack "Pig Benis" Kilcoyne - bass
John "JJ Righteous" Sekula - guitars
Steve "Skinny" Felton - drums
Richie "Dinner" Moore - guitars
?
I think that was Marko "Bronson" Vukcevich on guitar for the sound check.
Tom "Shmotz" Schmitz - Keyboards.
@@tommystix87 it's crazy how you're literally on every Shroom video. You're an internet legend lol
@@ArpeggioPegasusMusic What can I say I'm a big fan and like commenting and interacting with fellow fans.

Thanks again man, really love old school vids, you're the best.
Bronson, but Dinner was the guitarist at that time.

@Graveyardtales666 Some of their songs were written and played live before they were recorded them.
Bwomp was released on Superbuick in 1996. This was recorded in 1995.

That was Roxy? I'll be damned! lol
thats roxy lol, shes a staple
I think he means that the songs from Superbuick were written and played at live shows before '96.
@EyelessSurfacing666 Also Bwomp was released on their second self-released album that same year it's called Superbuick.
agreed... and now we don't even have gravy or pig either :/ but on the bright side, at least the band is still around. there aren't too many DIY bands that can last 20 years.
I think thats 1996 becuz its Pig Benis on the bass
holy shit! J NO with hair!
Jeff had hair back then!
Is it Dinner or Bronson with yellow guitar?
Jeff have long hair...
its a shame you go see mushroomhead now only 2 of those guys up there play full time on stage with skinny only playing half of the set on drums if your lucky
Not 95, the song that plays at the beginning is Bwomp.
where is dj virus?
+MurderNickelGaming So i guess neither DJ Virus nor Bronson performed live on samples until around 2001, because I just see Schmotz along with skinny in the stage background on all shows until that year.
I thought DJ Virus left some time after the release of Mushroomhead
Tá porra relíquia em
wow, jeff nothing with hair.
I just wanna know who the hot blond was that was dancing? The rest is self-explanatory lol
Roxy
