Joe I just wanted to say thanks. From this video I learned how the FloppyEmu also works for the Macintosh computers. I put together a Macintosh IIci with a SCSI2SD and use the FloppyEmu to load it with software. Really great stuff. Your channel rocks. Peace.
hi Joe - would you be able to make a video on setting up a blank CF card with GSOS for the TurboIDE card? I have the directions, but find them to be a little...confusing. Love your reviews and the quality of your channel. Keep up the great work. Thanks!
There is a variant of the UNISDISK from Nishida Radio that works on the //c units, but is difficult to acquire. The FloppyEmu is orders of magnitude easier to get.
I got one for my IIc. When it's running I'll post some info. It's a beauty: wifi with android app and stays inside your IIc! CFFA3000 is still the gold standard, imho. Still waiting for the next batch, though.
Regarding the MicroDrive Turbo, sorry I'm confused where you're saying to change things around th-cam.com/video/Wjy6_qnTnv0/w-d-xo.html on it one would have to shut-down the computer, remove the CF card, etc. - If we had the FloppyEmu or even another storage device couldn't we just copy back and forth to this device without removing the CF card?
I'm speaking of the situation where you want to move images or data to the removable media using a modern computer. The only mass storage device I'm aware of that allows easy removal of media while the machine is running is a CFFA3000, specifically its USB device. Let me know if you believe more testing is warranted and I can look into a follow up.
That makes it clear now. I actually just found out Reactive now has an EXTERNAL attachment for the MicroDrive Turbo so it's much easier to remove the CF card. I will probably get one for my IIGS and for my II plus (not supported with the MicroDrive Turbo) go for the CFFA 3000. Already have the Floppy EMU.

Hey Joe! Great video..I know it's stupid to ask as I am sorta a noob.. With these its possible to Emulate Disk II and 3.5 super drive images right? (Sorry ^^;) I want to back up my disks because..Chances are they are gonna die eventually and have a solution where..I can use old ya know Apple II, while still able to boot into IIGS's OS if possible. Thank you very much ^^;;;;

Hey, thanks. Glad my goofing of on TH-cam is helping people, and I'm glad another retrocomputer is working again! Have fun with your Mac!
Great video! Enjoy all of them.

Thanks! I'll put it on my to-do list. The list is long, so beware.
I like this channel so much....
Joe the floppy emu is also currently the only mass storage option for //c & //c plus users

NIce video, but none of the links work. I assume none of these are available anymore?
I fixed the links. TH-cam changed the way they treat little bracket things I used to put around links, so it started breaking things.

The CFFA3000 and FloppyEMU can mount Disk II and 3.5" floppy images. The Micro Drive turbo can emulate hard disk images.
