If you take a hard, fragile object, and you throw a harder less fragile object, the weaker material breaks... I've seen someone toss a pebble back over his head and hit a car window by accident and it shattered. Not saying thats gonna be the case every time but I've seen it done
If you can take it off whole you can put a shoe lace through it, tie a knot at the end.
Then you can swing it and bust windows and keep your piece.
