I saw this explosion as I was trying to get onto the exit from 6th. The closer I got, the worse it got. The scary thing is I was trying to get to work early that day but kept getting delayed. I literally drive past this area every weekday. Something was preventing me from being there at this time.
Not paying attention, distracted driving.
I wonder why Arvada Fire Department is involved here? Seems like quite a few other Metro Area cities are closer to the accident site.
How didn't the tractor burn ? Very sad
Tankers have sections they can hold different types of fuels for the gas station. Diesel is kept in the back for this reason.
God Bless
Does anyone know how long the truck was stopped
on the shoulder for?
Good question. I wish witnesses would come forward. Yesterday I saw a sign on I40 with 55 MPH and I'm sure no one every does that over there. I've witnessed hundreds of cars deliberately ignoring all speed limit signs when I traveled along several freeways in my state just last month.
