Naginata was used alot but not when the samurais fight in a group, cause u know when swing that blade u can accidentally hit your nakama. So they use spear hor a simple thrust attack and it will keep the friendly casualties at the minimum because they thrust it not swing it. You didn't mention how they started out as a flexible archer unit. The bow was the main weapon initially. In alot of games including Shogun:Rise of the Samurai and Battle realms they are a Bowman unit that is also great at close combat. Often cavalry as well.

tenegashima is only a musket. I would expect enfields, springfields and sniders as samurai's "rifles" which they did use.
They forget to acknowledge that samurai even in all of its glory, are not magical supersoldiers that suffice on nothing but the blades. They are warriors and soldiers using whatever is available to win battles.
Also I heard in a TV show (sorry I forgot its name) that ninja once used a firearm that resembles a primitive shotgun to attempt assassinating a major figure.

They actually used their katanas and muskets pretty effectively together in my opinion.
One of the many reasons that gave Nobunaga Oda the edge over the opposition is his openness to adopt technology. Hence he was one of the first Daimyo to ever use rifles which resulted in a massacre in the battle of Nagashino
