I’ve been in this industry since I was a teenager driving a dump truck for my dad’s company and eventually doing surveying and landscaping. Went to college for horticulture managed a famous 700 botanical garden and opened a landscape business 27 years ago doing everything from lawn care to land clearing, landscape design, installation, water features and managing employees and subcontractors. Why should anyone reading this care? Because that’s a pretty sweet resume to validate me saying that everything he just said in this video is 💯 on point! Everyone wanting to get into this business or just starting could learn a lot from this one video. Keep going, bro. You’re doing great things! Headed to track down your FB group.

There's one reason this is #1 lawn care channel... You go the extra mile, when when it's free. From trimming bushes, clearing leaves, and cleaning concrete.
I stumbled on your channel awhile back and just fell in luv with it Especially the quotes that you have planned while you’re working keep up the good work and do the hedges the yard is immaculate the hedges need to be on point and sharp
I used to cut grass and rake leaves etc. around my neighborhood for extra money. I thought about making a business out of it, but ended up doing other stuff. The potential is definitely there if you have the drive. I love what you are doing helping out the people and providing great content. Keep it up!

When I do my own tree trimming work, I strip off the leaves for mulching, cut the wood down to size for burning (thus ash for the mulch) and discard the twigs. You are helping to raise consciousness and compassion with your most generous acts like these, God bless!!
I bet your neighbor would really like a leg up with a landscape redesign. And ultimately, in helping others, you're helping yourself as well, since you'd have a gorgeous landscaped property to look out onto every day! I say go for it!

My husband is in landscape sales. I retired on disability by way 2017, ironically we can’t afford to do much with landscaping, and I’m inclined toward permaculture, so our resources (I live in Nevada) go toward feeding humans and animals.

What wonderful jobs you do for these people. My adult son is 6'5" and has depth perception issues. (He lives with me). He has bought his own lawn tools so that he can do the work himself. We watch your channel so that he can get techniques and tricks to use on our yard. Thank you so much for everything you do and for making these wonderful videos about it.
GREAT video! Your technique is so organized and put together. I liked the point you made about taking all the tree limbs and branches to the dump rather than getting an expensive shredder and having to put out the time of shredding all that and bagging it for mulch. New landscaping and an overseed follow-up are musts for this property. It's a great example of a small, simple front yard with huge potential. You don't have to spend a million bucks to have a great-looking lawn.

I know what you mean. I hate those type of gardeners. I hired a crew to do my mothers yard. They used the weeder on her landscape and tore up the ground cover. They were always rushing to get to the next job ($$). They used the weeder on the lawn as well. The lawn always looked chopped up. They sucked.

I’d love to see you add landscaping!! We aren’t as extreme as you brother, but we garden for all the neighbor kids. There’s plenty of hungry kids on our kids school bus so we do our best to help. My kids love watching things grow. Watching you spread the love to your neighbor is an inspiration.
I've had that kind of tree service people before and ended up cleaning up myself. Kinda puts you off hiring things done. Great on you for doing this for them and finishing up with leaves, mow, seed, and edging. It's going to look sharp when the grass fills in. I say go for it on the little landscape area - the final polish!

Many years ago I used to cut grass for a lot of the neighbors. It was hard work, but also a lot of fun helping people out.
That lawn's gonna look super good come next Spring. It's going to be real cool to wake up every day to do another one, and to look out across the street and see how good it looks, not just for the homeowner, but you as well. There is so much pride in doing good work. Putting work into a neighbor's yard doesn't just improve their home value, it improves yours and everyone else's home value. Nice job Kevin.
