The heads of states of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger convened for the inaugural summit of the Confederation of the Sahel States (AES). The leaders emphasised territorial and popular sovereignty as core principles of their leadership through a new treaty. Concurrently, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is exploring strategies to persuade these nations to realign with the regional bloc.

More like great news, I really appreciate the level of consistency, dedication and courage these leaders are putting in the cause... I'm also looking forward to more greater achievements from them, I know that there will also be greater challenges heading to them but nonetheless, they will prevail.
Not only is ECOWAS finished but other regional blocs and the AU continental bloc are headed in the same direction.
A well deserved dissolution, as they exist to serve Globalist and neocolonial interests at the Afrikans expense..
2063 agenda is already obsolete and a historical footnote.
There simply does not exist any reasonable expectation that any of the AES. countries would choose to return to the Francafrique neocolonial circumstance they have already escaped.
Some countries prefer to stand alone than to lay down together in chains.
Now that we have taken another step to African unity, we must be prepared. This preparation is to recognize that geographically we are cutoff from the sea by France. We will have to negotiate with France for access to world trade or develop an economy where we are independent of sea trade. Thus will be done until west coastal african countries become independent.
