Their day started fine, pulling up some old cutlery, a belt buckle, a WW2 era army helmet, etc. And ended with the leader of the nearest bomb squad yelling at them about how lucky they were that the anti-tank mine they pulled up was ruined by water intrusion, because it had a magnetic trigger on it. (The assumption made at the time was a couple nazi soldiers had an accident trying to booby trap the bridge and their bodies/equipment ended up in the river.) So yeah, so long as you're not magnet fishing in Europe, you're fine. Otherwise just make sure you're stupid-lucky, and not just stupid. lol
