Based on what happened on smackdown last week, I think they’re setting up LA Knight to be the next US Champion. I think this will happen before Summer Slam because Logan Paul is from Ohio and he will probably win whatever match he has in his home state.
Hey just a little side note. As an unwritten rule, any Saudi show is kinda “non-cannon”. The Saudi want specific things and will throw a lot of money to get it. Logan vs Cody is what the saudis wanted so that’s what they are getting.
Technically, the Logan v Cody match may still be for both titles; Cody was going to "take care of things" and bring it to Aldis later, so he might have pulled a fast one on Paul. Alternatively, this is where people think that the Wyatt 6 are going to debut. I also think this is when Otis costs Chad the match, allowing for Sami to retain. It sucks, but they've just done nothing with Reed other than put him in the match. He deserves better, but... Either way, the bigger question to me is if Alpha Academy joins Sami or not. I don't think that Sami is going to straight up replace Chad, but I feel like he has to be more involved with him somehow. I'm not sure if Becky is going to retain or not. They've been saying that Liv wants to take everything from Rhea, which would include the Judgment Day and title. They probably need to turn Rhea into a badass face with just how over she is, so this could be a way to do that. However, I'm not convinced that this is how you get Liv Morgan to be the Women's World Champion. I think Jax has to win at Smackdown so we can have a Heel v Face Finals. As for whether she or Lyra Valkyria comes out on top, I think it's probably going to be Nia. This could open up options for the show; I believe that Jax will join the Bloodline at some point, so this could be how the Bloodline comes to dominate SmackDown in their new Silver Age. More on that later. I thought Jey would win the RAW side and then go on to win the whole thing, but now that Gunther has, I'm thinking it's likely him. Tama Tonga is not the right choice; Solo is the leader of the Bloodline, so he should be the first champion and greatest champion among them. I still feel that at some point this year we'll see Solo as US Champion, and GoD (Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) as WWE Tag Champions. Then if Nia joins, she can hold the Women's WWE Championship (or possibly the Women's US Championship I think they'll introduce at some point), giving the Bloodline the most gold on their faction but still letting the main event revolve around Cody. As for Randy, he likes to put younger talent over, and I again think we need a Heel v Face Championship match. This could be how we get Gunther to be a World Champion at Bash in Berlin.
I was super interested in Cody V Logan for both belts, now that it’s for one belt it’s predictable. Still going to be a great match with some decent promo content on Friday.
WWE Undisputed: Cody via DQ (Uncle Howdy's faction causing it) IC Title: Chad pinning Bronson Women's title: Liv with possible help from Dom Queen: Nia Jax King: Gunther (pinning Randy, as much as that pains me) Few things to note as well for Gunther: 1. he's been a career heel, and most likely will stay as one 2. since joining WWE, he has only had 5 losses directly involving him getting pinned/submitting/counted out; Drew McIntyre at Survivor Series 2019 (pin), Ilja Dragunov for the NXT UK championship in 2021 (tapped out), Bron Breakker during a random episode of NXT in 2022 (pin), Chad Gable on Raw in 2023 (countout), and Sami Zayn for the IC title at Mania 40 (2024) note all of those losses are where Gunther was directly involved in the loss, and not an indirect loss via a tag match/battle royale/etc
bro what if tama tonga smh wins against randy orton [probably via cheap shot] and advances through to final and vacates his position to solo sikoa and thus we get new king tribal chief solo sikoa??
Bronson Reed is the third wheel in Sami Vs. Chad. I'm thinking they're trying to keep the title on Sami for awhile and come back to the Gable feud around SummerSlam while they're doing their own thing in the time being.
If Randy wins he could change his presentation to a King Viper type style. It would be cool since he started under another king i.e. Triple H. I wish we knew what power the winners get. I would love to see Orton be a villain again. I still think Gunther would win though. It would be hilarious if Toma wins and he has the crown while standing next to Solo.
Randy might not have ever been KotR but that doesn't change the fact that historically KotR is not a tournament about showcasing main event talent. It's almost always been a tournament about elevating a few of the Midcard talent onto the main event scene. Hell 2002 had a Rookie with about months experience winning it and then becoming the youngest wwe champion in that years SummerSlam in Brock Lesnar. Randy will probably go over Tama this Friday but he's putting Gunther over at KotR. He doesn't need that win, Gunther is going to use this KotR push and probably become Champ by the end of the year.
I agree with you. Especially because Gunther is destroying everybody in the tournament. Randy Orton doesnt need the KOR win. But he has won only 1 PLE match since his comeback and the win he got, was in the war games match which was overshadowed by the return of CM Punk. I hope they figure out something different for Randy Orton. We all want Orton vs. Rhodes in the future, but I don't want a Randy Orton with a 12 PLE losing streak going for the Universal Title
Probably not. The weekly show reviews don't really fit what I'm interested in making. If something crazy happens (like rhea vacating her title, or a PLE) I'll make a video on it. But I enjoy doing more interactive videos than just reviewing every show.
from a storyline perspective, it would made sense for Bronson Reed to win. Bronson Reed is the only one, who is in this match who is focussed on business, on winning the title. Sami Zayn and Chad Gable could lose focus while they are fighting each other... (Of course Bronson will not win, but it would make sense). I just hope Liv wins. A womens title change would also be a very big moment for saudi arabia
Tonga may be new, but Lyra technically is as well, and no one thought she would be the Raw rep over Iyo, especially since none of the big 3 male call-ups made it past the semis, with one not even being in it, in Bron.
With Lyra in the finals, everybody thinks Nia is going to win. But don't forget, Triple H loves to book face vs face. He does it all the time. I think Lyra vs. Nia will suck, because I think the saudi arabia crowd will be dead. They do not care about the womens division a lot and they probably only know the big names like Bianca Belair.
You don’t need to make the Gunther switch there’s a thing just called situational face like when Rhea was in Australia and with how much the bloodline is hated you could easily just have Gunther be face for one night
If it ends up as Gunther vs Tama Tonga the only reason i'd wanna watch that would be that it is a complete squash. Have Gunther decimate him. on paper, gunther vs tama tonga already sounds terrible as it is though.
Predictions: Cody retains but this Uncle Howdy story finally reveals itself Liv beats Becky to take the Woman's title Nia beats Lyra to be QotR Gunther beats Randy to be KotR Side Note: One thing I'd love to see is your analysis of who would be currently considered a Heel vs who is a Babyface and how deep into that side they are. I feel like we need more Heels and some of the ones we currently have are good but also too likeable lol (i.e. Drew).
I was so happy to see Lyra win last night, but GUTTED Jey came up short. I think I would have been more ok with it had it not been a chokehold/passout submission situation. Jey deserved better. Especially since he wasn't even initially in the competition. I didn't think Gunther looked especially strong either. He just did his stupid chop like 15 times! 😭 Maybe Jey will get the W for MITB? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
That is correct! I wasn't saying the title would move. It's just an option for a result of the match, given one of the participants is known for brass knuckles.
Gunther’s booked as a final boss. His losses are going to be few and far between. Considering he just lost to Sami, imo he’s not losing again for a while
Cody/Paul Wyatt family making it no contest Triple threat. Otis starts to cheat for Chad then comes to senses allowing Sammy to retain. Nia over Valk Randy over Gunther
Oh the Cody/Logan build might be lackluster but these two stil have the capability to steal the entire show this weekend. I've always maintained that story, character and build is the most important thing in terms of getting a feud and match over but that doesn't mean that in ring ability and performance doesn't mean anything at all. Logan and Cody could still end up stealing that show.
I want Chad Gable and Liv Morgan to win their respective matches so badly (I know it won't happen, but I just hope that by some miracle it does) I feel Otis will betray Chad Gable and Sami will retain. I like Sami Zayn and Becky Lynch but they have had their time. They need to give others a chance for sometime. Gunter and Nia win the crown. While I like Lyra, it's too early for her. Randy doesn't need the crown, and it doesn't make sense for Tama Tonga to win if you look at how the story is going. Jey is honestly not real main event material and it looks like he's going to team up with Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso to fight the new bloodline. I don't see Cody Rhodes losing the title until Summerslam.
Quick question; it’s reported that Becky’s contract expires next week so do you think she’s leaving WWE, retiring, or gonna leave with the woman’s title somehow? :P
I disagree with the idea that Gunther has already won enough, and Jey hasn't won enough, so that means Gunther should lose.... i dont like the "he doesn't need it" mind frame. Logically there is no reason why a guy who keeps losing matches should beat a guy who has only been beaten by the best of the best. Jey getting to the semi-finals is an accomplishment, so its not like he hasn't won any matches at all. Gunther's long term "character arc" for lack of a better term, is about being a historic throwback who grinds people the dust. I think he is going to win the whole thing. I think he is going to be one of those guys who is being booked to a legacy that is far bigger than and "booking" or "creative" logic that anybody on the internet nowadays has any concept of. I suggest throwing all the internet booking logic out the window... it is 100% a product of Vince's predictable and repetitive booking style, it isn't based on pro-wrestling psychology. None of this is directed at you btw... i understand you are just getting involved with the conversations that fans in the community are already having about what could happen... which in and of itself if fine. i guess i just wish people used a different frame of reference to discuss the show, besides how the "booking" should be... A "smart fan" should want to sell the show to "marks," because it aids the suspension of disbelief, which is what makes wrestling so fun and great. Instead its a bunch of people who don't actually understand wrestling trying to sound like they understand it more than who ever they are responding to... but subconsciously they are removing all agency from these actual people who "portray" personalities in a live sport that also happens to be a television show.... i'm sorry.. i'm ranting... I guess i would just rather the conversations be "Could Jey pull it off against Gunther despite losing so many big match opportunities recently, or is Gunther going to continue dominating everybody in his path until he gets a chance at the Championship?" instead of "They have put Gunther over so many times, and he's had such a big push that i dont think a loss would hurt him, and Jey has taken a lot of losses so if he loses again he might cool off, so maybe he beats Gunther so he can get more momentum...." idk.. if i say anything else im gunna start ranting again. lol
Totally fair. I don't mind looking at it from all the perspectives. I really do want Gunther to keep winning, I just feel like Jey constantly losing every major match he's in is killing his character for me.
Not going to lie, I like the idea of the Gunther/Tama match up with Gunther getting screwed. They could shoot promos across brands, and build to a true branded WarGames at Survivor Series.
The Liv/Dom thing has been a red herring all along. When Liv was spotted with "Dom's" bandanna in her pocket, Finn was also missing his.
or she took them both lol
Based on what happened on smackdown last week, I think they’re setting up LA Knight to be the next US Champion. I think this will happen before Summer Slam because Logan Paul is from Ohio and he will probably win whatever match he has in his home state.
But WWE loves to have the "hometown hero" lose in their hometown. It will be very intersting, if Logan will get cheered in cleveland

Royal Ring General Gunther.
Liv takes the women's title.
Sami retains and drops the title to Gable at SummerSlam.
Lyra is your Queen.
Bronsom Reed is there so that Chad Gable or Sami (most likely Sami, cause like you said) can win the title without the other eating a pin
Bronson Reed is the third wheel in Sami Vs. Chad. I'm thinking they're trying to keep the title on Sami for awhile and come back to the Gable feud around SummerSlam while they're doing their own thing in the time being.
