Love seeing Ernest "helping" dad with constructions. Billy's a great dad in helping Ernest find things to play with. Great family dynamic there with 3 generations working together.
Ernest is the cutest apprentice I have ever seen!! He will be invaluable to the success of the Convent. He will have a vested interest because he worked there!! I started helping my father build our house when I was 2 years old. I was his best helper for years. I fetched his tools. My mother caught me up a ladder and on the roof when I was 5. 😊
I love how Ernest keeps calling Layla "boy", even after acknowledging yesterday Billy yelling from the next room that she is a "girl". He is such a precious child!!! How could you not want to be with him everyday?
The recording in the basement will be really interesting, it shouldn't have the noise pollution from the road and the town that the upstairs rooms have, really enjoying the audio playbacks 😊
I agree! If there are birds, it will help to see the room to better determine what the noises are and where/what they are coming from. The screeching doesn’t sound like an owl. Although owls do screech they don’t normally sound like that. I would be very interested to see what in the world is actually making those screeching and scratching sounds!
I love seeing what the voice recorder shows each morning. Really fascinating!! I also love the progress on the convent. It's going to be spectacular. The kitchen is stunning. Have a wonderful weekend Petherick family!!
The window seat idea is absolutely PERFECT! In addition, drapes as situated in the photo you received would add atmosphere and warmth not to to mention sound attenuation to a large room.
The sound that may be a bird or maybe not… should be a local Bird watcher society They could help determine if that’s any kind of known bird that lives in that area within 100 miles of that area. Or Not !! at least it will help eliminate one possible answer to the sound that was recorded.
Simon returning is a great birthday present for me. My birthday is this next Wednesday the 17th of July. I am excited to see his reaction to all the work that has been done while he was away.
You're absolutely right Billy, the structural integrity of the walls you are creating with the timbers you're using, definitely cannot be denied. Brilliant 🛠️
As people living in KC, we welcome you to Chiefs Kingdom, Yanis! We screamed when you came on the screen wearing that Chiefs shirt, first Billy and now Yanis! Love it, love the channel ❤️
I particularly enjoyed today’s video with Ernest, Mick and Yanis diligently working on their projects while Billy continued on the library. It was fascinating to watch Billy’s thought processes with the library pieces and their layout and his explanations of how everything worked. And the continuing recordings are intriguing and I look forward to more. I loved seeing more of Ernest. He’s growing up. I find his hint of a French accent so cute! By the way I think Mick and Yanis need to wear safety glasses especially demolishing over their heads. Eyes are precious.
You've just got to love Earnest who's so sweet and innocent bless his heart he's a fine little young man who'll be able to watch this when he's much older and have a chuckle lol
I love the window seat idea with oversized cushions to sit and read or relax or talk❤❤❤. The desk in the library photo that you are holding is super cool!
The proposed bench front you used, it looks like one of those surround boards would fit as a baseboard. Then more surround board could be put up the sides to fill in the space next to the wall. And perhaps make the window seats storage spots as well.
I love it when Ernest is helping, he’s so lovely ❤. Great work Billy, Mick, Alex and Yannis. Will be interesting to hear the sounds recorded in the cellar 👻👻xxx💕💕💕
Love the shirt, Yannick! ❤ If you all need an extra hand, I'm experienced, ready, and willing to travel anywhere to lend a hand for as long as needed. I'm experienced in construction, remodeling, videography, drone videography, and music production. Love your work, and I wish you well! - Cheers
It would be interesting to record overnight, outside one of the windows (or with a window open), to see if the sounds are more clear (therefore coming from the outside) or less clear (sounds more likely from the inside. I do think the owls are the most likely source. At my own house, the larger birds (crows, etc) walking on the roof sound a lot like people walking up there.
We had a pair of ravens (huge birds) that somehow managed to get into the roof of our cabin. They play with things at night that they’ve collected during the day. It was very scary until we finally found them one night.
I have ravens walking around on my roof and it sounds like people running around up there. And they make quite a racket with the same screeching sounds
I think you need to get a partner, maybe Ryan or Yanis, and stay in that room overnight. You would have to be very quiet, which would be fun for us to watch as you try!
I honestly think it’s one or more of the owls. Always enjoyable and sweet seeing Ernest. Fun seeing Yannis wearing Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes #15 football jersey.
Oh my goodness! The library in the picture looks so cozy wanting me to go there to sit and read. Everything today is so modern and a cold Atmosphere. My home town library had reading rooms with a feeling you were at your own home. Love the library desk!
What about a camera that could film it instead of just picking up noise and a sleepover with treats! See who runs out first! lol 😊love Ernest so nice to see him back he did an awesome job with the intro. xB
Have you considered any audio visual needs for the library. The bookcase/cupboards may accommodate screens and other audio equipment. This would be especially important if you’re considering the library as a retreat/meeting space. You would need a consultant in this area.
I slowed it down and the owl sound sounded more like a thin metal sheet being waved like a "boing" noise. If that makes sense. The keys sounded like chains rattling. (You can go to settings and change the playback speed)
Hi Billy it is most likely the common barn owl, they have variations of that sound all mean different things. They do not hoot. I am 90% certain that is what it is. They nest in barns, empty buildings and your attic is quite a possibility. 😊
If interested I have a suggestion. The light up cat toy ball or what paranormal investigators use. Where it only lights up if it has been touched or moved. I use them & find them very effective. You will need a camera on it to. Just a thought, idea & suggestion to you 👍
8:06 that was furniture being moved around the room. That shreak sounds like a racoon or a fox what ever it is is not a happy camper. 6 am sounds like a door opening or closing and more furniture moving around. Do you know about the baby powder trick to put around to see if you get slide marks or foot prints.
@@diannegunn1243 Baking soda too, anything with small particles that can hold a trace. Don't imagine they will even try either one of our suggestions, after all its just birds......
So, the taller panel that will be under the window, you said you might recess it back a bit. But if you leave it out, then make a top of tempered glass and have a recessed display shelf under the glass for some of the artifacts that you have discovered and/or dug up on the grounds or inside. That would be a nice feature in the library.
Billy, those sounds are definitely not the building setteling. Those sounds are like either someone walking around or it was like funiture being moved. Definitely you need to run them through a program that can separate each sound into individual frquencies and also to slow them down.
Love your videos Pethericks family. I live in rural south eastern Ontario, Canada, a small town on the Trent Severn waterway, Campbellford, and you know there is a large dairy farming family named Petherick near here. Such an unusual name, maybe you are related.
My husband was a custom cabinet maker, and also did remodeling. When we built an addition on our own house, he hand picked all the 2x4 lumber. It was tedious, but we didn’t want wonky walls in our kitchen!
When I was a little girl, my step father allowed me to follow him doing his various jobs around the house. It was such a happy time for me and I learned a great deal. He was patient and kind with my chatter box self…. I’ve ALWAYS been so grateful! One of my VERY BEST childhood memories! I was delighted to see your son on sight at the convent. Be conscious of the memories you (your father also) are making for him. He will remember and cherish those memories for a lifetime😊
Your son is so adorable. Those sounds give me the creeps. The spirits are restless! You gone to love Yanis he has humor. Something about kids and dogs makes me smile. Let's buy a skateboard for Billys dad. Love the idea of window sits. Very nice picture of a library. Thanks for sharing.
Hello! Perhaps have a better look at the bottom of the wooden bins where you were looking with the flashlight. The bottoms look like old doors or paneling. Same place where there are bits of old wallpaper. Lovely to see Ernest, he’s growing so fast!
The library is looking great! The noise that happened on the 11th and 12th may be a screech owl. We have them here in the US. We also have a couple of night hawks that eat insects.
Wow! It's already looking very nice! Is it an idea to put some kind of glass + some lightning in the board (around 22:00 in the vlog) so you can still see some of the old building in the library. Keep up the great work!
Your little boy is sooo sweet. He thought he hurt his Daddy and said Sorry. Melted my heart 💜
I have experienced the jackhammer jump up into my jaw from my then children, at a checkout counter as his leverage that nearly knocked me out cold.
Love seeing Ernest "helping" dad with constructions. Billy's a great dad in helping Ernest find things to play with. Great family dynamic there with 3 generations working together.
Billy those prints of the library would look stunning in picture frames around the library.
Your son’s reaction to the audio recordings was PRICELESS. You’ve set him on his path to becoming a ghost hunter! 👍
Could we get more interviews of everyone? I bet your Mom and Dad have some great stories to tell!
And Gwen!!
Would love that.

I love seeing Ernest helping you. He is so smart and growing up soo fast!
What a well-behaved, attentive, and sweet boy Ernest is! It's fun when he's on the show. He's darling in his hardhat.
I like the idea of making a window seat/bench under each window in the library so that there is a place to sit and read. 😊
Ernest is getting so tall !!❤❤
Love getting to see Ernest on the channel. Billy’s mini me in training. Such a sweet kid.
I love seeing Ernest working with Daddy. Ernest is so cute.
About 30 years ago bet Billy and his dad looked just like Billy and Ernest when they carried in the long piece of wood. 😊
I’m thinking closer to 40 years ago.
Ernest is certainly well behaved and helpful.
The recording in the basement will be really interesting, it shouldn't have the noise pollution from the road and the town that the upstairs rooms have, really enjoying the audio playbacks 😊
Ernest helping was so sweet! Looking great Billy!
I think it's your owl xx
And I think it’s combination of birds, mice and bats in the attic
That was exactly my thought as well: the clumsy young owl from a previous video.
Bonk!
Crow or raven maybe?
The tablet was close to where the pipes go into the attic. If there is a gap you could hear a louder sound
Billy, solve the mystery with your motion detecting camera!! When Ernest said a monster.....Little boys and their monsters...lol
I agree! If there are birds, it will help to see the room to better determine what the noises are and where/what they are coming from. The screeching doesn’t sound like an owl. Although owls do screech they don’t normally sound like that. I would be very interested to see what in the world is actually making those screeching and scratching sounds!
Ernest has gotten so grown up and he’s absolutely the best ☺️
"Unlike most owls, Barn Owls don't engage in mellow nighttime “hooting;” they pierce the darkness with long, harsh screeches."
Oh yeah, it kinda sounds like a Barn owl if it was very close
I love the idea of the window seats
Hello Ernest, you will have great reminders of all of your family. That is truly a blessing, beyond anything.
Love seeing Ernest "working " with dad. Layla has a friend. Sweet dog. Thank you. ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉😊
I love that Billy loves wood.

You’re so right. I liked the idea too!
I'm not keen on the window seat idea because I don't it fits the era, but that's just me. I think small tables or a nice chair took up those spaces.
I always love shutters halfway up a window - privacy AND light at the same time!
Ernest has new job trainer for Alex's dog Leala! Well Done Earnest!
Sounds like your owl - it likes it there.
Ernest goes to construction summer camp! Love it!

Billy Its a Crow running around abowe and the noise is the birds cry out lout
Im 90% sure you have a Crow in the attic 👍👍👍
Except crows sleep/roost at night.

If it was a stuck bird they would have more noises

My first thought was what Ernest said; It's coming from upstairs. At least some of it anyhow.. This is fun Billy.

Hi sweet Ernest! Hope the sounds haven't scared you! You are such a great help to the team! xox

It is the Nuns deceased, they always had keys. I was in a School Convent for years. They always had keys and rosary handing from their waist.
That’s what I was thinking a chatelaine hanging from the waist
Was it all the Nuns that had keys or just the Main Nuns (whatever her title is)?
Notre Dame nuns taught me and you are right that you always heard them jingling and jangling before you saw them
