The apple will grow well. We have a orchard and all of our apple trees are grafted on a willow tree root system. I heard of ppl grafting grape vines onto apple trees. That moth you was talking about boring in the fruit is called a Bot Fly, the bore in and lay an egg in center fruit.
are those viet perillas at the root of the tree? i love those. Would you advise planting them at the bed of these fruit trees? Will they not compete against each other?
Hi Khang, omg I love Asia pears. I love yours trees, they are so nice beautiful and healthy. I grow 3 Asia pears, 2 are growing in containers and 1 tree I just put on the ground. The one in the ground has fruited but very small fruits 😥. I want to cross grafting couple them so they can cross pollinate each other. Subscribed 👍
Hi Khang, i love your video, it so informative. I have a question I would like you to help me with. I’m am from Montgomery Alabama zone 8a-8b and I’m very interested in planting Asian pear trees, i just purchased the dwarf hosui and the 20th century. I was thinking of planting my pear trees along the wall of my house. Do you think it a good place or should I plant it in a bigger area in my yard away from the house? Thank you for your help.
Away from the house is probably best. These tree do need full sun, so the house could be blocking what they need. Also, I don't like the idea of roots crawling under my foundation.
What part of texas do you live in? I’m also in texas and am worried about both the extreme colds and hots that we’ve been getting. Is Asian pear easier or persimmon to grow?
Look up the chill hours for Houston. I think Houston is between 300 and 600 depending on the area of Houston you are in, so I'd go with low chill hour varieties like Shinseiki or Hosui. Shinseiki are a bit ugly, but taste good and require only 300 chill hours. Hosui is good for 300, but prefers about 400, so if you get about 350 chill hours that's perfect for both varieties.
They look great!
Those are so very good. I Love them. Grow you some yourself. You will never regret it.

Mr Khang, What soil do you used to plant an Asian pear, I just got a plant and appreciate any tips before put it down in ground! Thank you
I actually really like your small pear tree with the slower growth. It looks like it might do everything a larger tree would do, on stockier branches.
Yesss! I have been waiting for this video!!!
Those are some healthy trees

What Variety is that shown in the picture?
Korea Giant, but not at full size. They get much larger.
Khang: "I've grafted an apple, hehe, onto the pear!"
God: "That's it, I quit!"

You should just cut them down and buy them at the store.
