I really like that you make a point to have ALL of the damage inflicted on Deadpool stay as 'temporary' damage. Most other fights use the red bar as an indicator of how much a fighter can potentially rally and recover from their injuries, but for Deadpool...he just bounces back, and the big issue is whether or not he gets hurt badly enough that he bounces back too late.
Deadpool wanted a cure for his immortality but now, thanks to Ajax, the only thing can kill him is a country sized nuclear bomb or a magic necklace that looks like a Shocking Necklace but it's function is to delay for years deapool's regen giving him time to die
The only chance Francis could have at temporarily beating Deadpool is if he incapacitated deadpool quickly by decapitating him. Hints why his choice of weapons were the two combat axes. very very cool to watch but there was never any semblance of threat to Deadpool. i know the film was supposed to be funny so it didn't need to have a strong plot, but because of DP's healing factor and Ajax's lack of one; Ajax could never have beaten Deadpool.
i had the exact same qualm with those films. except, in the final climactic scene, there were met with formidable opponents who COULD OVERWHELM their regenerative abilities. Abom had a healing factor and an equal/higher level of strength. the Deadpool abomination was a threat, so was Sabretooth, and the Silver Samuri. The plot wasn't that much about a threat (only later on it becomes a threat) but more about revenge (spoilers ahead) The threat was that Vanessa got kidnapped and Ajax might've ended up killing her
In terms of strength I would say Ajax is slightly stronger than Deadpool. But Deadpool is faster and smarter than Ajax, Deadpool also has a way better healing factor.
