As terrible as this movie is, I'll admit Samuel L. Jackson gave a pretty entertaining performance, especially when you consider the material he was given.

    • @wjzav1971

Agreed. I love how Jackson can make even the dumbest lines sound awesome. Like his monologue about eggs in his face.

I worked in a cinema when this film came out.
I've never seen so many people walk out of a film, showing after showing.

Me and my best friend went to see it when it was playing in theaters. I believe we went opening weekend so all the horrible reviews hadn’t hit yet. We were both huge fans of Sin City. But this was just awful. No one walked out that I could see but a lot of pissed off people coming out of the auditorium including us. Haven’t watched it since.

I'm not entirely sure what's Frank Miller's deal with color red in a film noir. I get that red can be used to emphasize danger of a temptress or the Nazi, but the Spirit also spots bright red tie when he's jumping from building to building. The same thing happens with Natalie Stack's red boots in Holy Terror. What's up with those red accessories?

One scene he's Daniel Dae Kim. Next he's Samuel L. Jackson. Following scene he's John Cusack. Then he's Gary Farmer. You see more than gloves, but the impression of "no one knows what he actually looks like" is maintained.

"Why is Death a woman?" I mean... why not? It's the personification of an abstract concept, there's no reason it couldn't or shouldn't be depicted as male, female or anything else. Plus I _know_ Linkara knows about Death of the Endless and Marvel Comics' Death so that line seems especially weird coming from him.

Wouldn't the blood of Heracles not heal someone? I get the idea of a demigod's blood empowering people, but due to the circumstances of Heracles' death, I would think his blood would be poison rather than heal. He died when his wife put the blood of a centaur Heracles killed using Hydra tipped arrows (making the centaur's blood full of Hydra poison) on a cloak, which began burning his skin. Hell, that's even assuming there would be blood from that, since he had his friends burn him on a pyre, which burned away his mortal half and made him ascend to Mt. Olympus.

2.) About Silken Floss' (God what a stupid name) fake eyelashes, Disgust from "Inside Out" called, she wants them back!
    3.) Poor Muffin!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭

My son got this movie for Christmas in 2021 from his uncle, so we put it in the VCR and started watching. By the end of the week he watched it 24 times. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just sitting there blankly staring. So i decided to make a netflix account and get this movie to see if I could maybe watch alongside him. I loaded in the movie and it started playing. This movie has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This movie reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories.

Actually the problem is Heracles blood cause in that case the greek pantheon is real but there death aka Thanatos is a man

I have to point this out... Linkara asking why Death is a woman, when both Deadpool AND Thanos are in love with Death (who is, indeed, female)

I think even Eggman would tell Octopus to lay off the references to eggs.

No mention of the "dry swimming" scenes? That was my biggest WTF moments in a film that I bought for a pound and quickly dumped it off in a charity shop.

This review is much better than Dougs review. Funny how back in the day he was so petty and afraid that nobody could review any films he had already done or was planning to do. Yet has no problem doing films that someone else who worked with them at the time did. Hell seen some reviews that he legit copied jokes that another reviewer did.

I honestly love this movie, do not misunderstand, it is a hot pile of trash. But light up a joint or get a couple of beers and watch it with a few good friends and I guarantee a hell of a good time

Angry? Maybe it's because I have no idea what this movie is even based on, but for me, this film is so bad that it's hilariously good.

10:20 I wouldn't. At least Arnie's puns in Batman and Robyn made sense.
