Cozy Winter Ambience | Blizzard, Heavy Snowstorm, Wind Sounds and Fireplace for Relaxation

- The fire is chomping on the firewood, the embers of the flame dancing in its stone hearth. The sparks try to leave the nests, by riding the heatwave but fall short on the Andalusian style rug. If they tried a little harder, they would reach the large armchair with a stool next to it. On top of the stool lays a tray of birch, carrying a plate of crackers,nutty cheeses, green grapes and slices of apples. With a cup of hot chocolate to accommodate the bitter tastes with sweetness. Further away, beyond the cozy furniture, is a chandelier of candles hanging from the middle of the roof. The candles only spread their brightness within the small circle, barely reaching the bed below the window. The cold and warm feeling of lying under the pleasant bed covers while staring outside the frosty glass panes. To take in the blizzard wailing outside, snow and wind bending the spruce trees.
You make yourself comfortable and begin to drift off in the tranquil sleep ambience of a mountain lodge.

This is my bedroom I wanted him to build and it's perfectly beautiful. I sleep and nap to my bedroom everyday. You see I am bedridden 80 % or more of my time. I have loved to read since I learned how at 27. My books are my friends based on author and story. Fantasy book of a number one would be Swan Song by Robert McCammon and 2nd place "Ingathering" by Zenna Henderson. An epic series being made into a movie is "The Wheel of Time" by the Late Robert Jordan. So Kevin when not in pain I just do that every day. Thrift Books is great for any read for $3.oo and up. Enjoy !!!
For me it have to be a nice joint, a proper home made hot chocolate and a good book... my hot chocolate are made with half or a quarter of a plain or milk chocolate bar, or 3/4 table spoons of semi sweet chocolate chips (depending on preference) .. melt it gently in 1 and a half pints of milk (if you like)... then add 2 table spoons of cream... Let it all melt nicely and go on a gentle simmer on a low heat but delicately stir until all ingredients have combined well... after it's all nice and creamy add a teaspoon of brown sugar..or molasses if you have it.. half a tea spoon of vanilla extract half a table spoon of dark cocoa powder, a half a teaspoon of coffee.. (If you like) and 1 and a half teaspoons of cinnamon. Gently simmer on a low heat for 2 mins take off the heat.. Let it stand for at least 1 minute.. serve with whipped cream, your favourite sweet toppings and enjoy. (If it don't work out for you I do apologise but this is how I make mine but if it does I hope you like it 😊)

I remember staying one winter night in a guest house by the sea front on a January night and sitting in the dark in my room for hours in front of the roaring fire, listening to the sea crashing against the wall across the street outside the window, the tail end of a storm that had come across from Norway. Beautiful.

This is my all time favorite ambience video. While the winds whips outside the window, and the wood crackles softly in the fire place, you can still feel and hear the quiet bliss within this small room, and that is what makes it perfect.
Oh how I'd love to be here. Snuggled up in that bed, moonlight streaming through the window. Watching the snow falling and listening to the wind blow. My cozy fire crackling in the other room. Smelling the timber of my cabin, the wax of the burning candles and faintly the burning logs. Sipping cocoa from my favorite mug, reading a bit drowsily, but my eyes always turning to the beauty of the falling snow. Till at last I grow so sleepy that I put my mug on the nightstand, blow out the candles and turn down the lamp, and sigh deeply as I pull the warm blankets up to my chin, and sleepily watch the snow until I slumber.
Wow; that evocation was beautiful! You should be writing! Brought tears to my eyes.
And yes, there is that.
That perfect moment perfectly evoked. It's always difficult for me to hear my words spoken by someone else.

Let us all go into a large mansion in Northern Alaska in the wintertime, and enjoy ourselves with cups of cocoa with peppermint and cinnamon sticks while watching the northern lights dance, before snow begins to fall heavily outside. We will tell each other stories the will haunt us, make us laugh, and make us blush. But finally, as the candlelight dims and it is time time for bed, we walk to our large bedrooms. While staring at the darkwood timber ceiling, and the faint howling of the outside snow storm, we sink into our fur blankets, and dream. While we go deep into each of our slumbers, we all wish that that evening was real, that such paradise and comfort is real, that magic is real. But most importantly, that we all are real, so we can greet each other in the morning.

Sometimes I imagine I'm far, far away in a cozy, warm and dry cabin just like this one with no one else in sight for a whole day and night except for me and my german shepard. Ahhh, heaven.

This reminds me of a nook in my grandma's house where I took a nap on a very windy, overcast day. I remember being paranoid about the old shakey windows blowing in, but was too relaxed and tired to really move from that cozy spot haha
OMG..I didn't know they make videos outta my childhood desires...I wish I had so cold winters where I live. Sure wud have made such a cozy winter cabin for me n just my solitude. (the more compact, the more cozy !!)
A few years ago, when I first saw this, I decided to build this corner in real life. Now I finally got the chance and did it, and it turned out just as planned. Thank you for the inspiration my friend, you are a true artist.
I would be right there at that window, under a warm cozy blanket, with a good book to read. Then I'd have to run & go get something to munch on. After awhile I'd get verrrry sleepy...then I'd put the book down & ease on off to sleep!!! 😴
I think every human being should have a strong contact with music, I have depression and anxiety and this has helped me a lot, I love it
Can you imagine taking a two hour nap on the bed and then waking up to that wonderful crackling fireplace and making yourself a hot cup of tea and then reading a book for a while and then stepping outside for a breath of fresh air before going back to this absolute peace and serenity.

Nearly midnight as I listen to this virtual fireplace while outside my window a howling wind blows through. What a sound effect.
Peaceful and quiet is better without the TV.
There's something beautiful about the crackling soundof burning wood.

An owl hooted outside the minute this I started to play this, how I long to really be in this room. It would be such a temptation to stay awake & read by the fire light but also so tempting to curl up & watch the storm outside and fall asleep!
This one is my favorite. Fire crackle not too loud, hyper, or soft. It's just right. Storm outside strengthens and weakens with the wind quieting and getting louder, but not too much, like it should. Warm glow of lamps to read by and I can just about smell the aroma of warm spiced cider on the stove hanging in the air This is just perfect.
I love autumn and winter...I think its rhe season to go within..to self reflect and meditate and become a better and more healed soul that emerges out of spring and is fully displayed during summer

I saw several xmas movies lately but none of them had houses that looks this cozy / xmas / winterly
My absolute favorite! I've used this one for several nights, and it works! The best part is, the sounds are at accurate levels to make it a really realistic scene. Also, the outside scene doesn't have a full moon shining in! Who ever saw the moon while it was snowing? It's those little things that niggle at the brain and keep you from being able to relax and use these recordings as intended. I appreciate your attention to detail and realism. It makes for a very effective video.

In a room like that, your senses take over while looking out the window. Seeing shapes in the blowing snow. You wouldn’t feel at all lonely even though you’re alone.

The quiet serenity is beautiful. Not a spa but an unorthodox unplugging. Oh to live in a dream such as this. In a place where words are not needed to keep the peace. The thought of a friend or loved one to share delights the heart and wakens the mind with ideas of quiet hours spent in the company of the fire’s warmth and the wind’s whispers. True peace in the arms of God and Nature. The very vision of such a colorful sight of chestnut and auburn contrasted by the harsh blues outside is immersive like stepping into a deep pool of water, the more you gaze at the low light and glass, more further you sink into the beckoning surroundings. Bliss has been achieved without a word spoken.
As a recluse, the whole atmosphere appeals to me greatly, a glass of red wine a cuppa tea, I need not nuch more!☕🍷📖

Hey I just wanna say you really nailed the wind sounds on this. A lot of people trying to make snowy wind like this use wind that's too whistley and sounds more like a summer or fall rainstorm. But here you've got the nice muffled, billowing wind that sounds like it's being rebuffed a snowy landscape. Thanks and great job!

This is a favorite "cosy" Ambience Winter vid. The sounds are well-balanced. Sometimes the crackling from fireplaces is a bit loud imo but not here. Since I`m a city dweller, I can get a little spooked by the quiet in the countryside, in real life, at night even though it`s so serene. Still I imagine the window is set high above the ground adding to a safe feel from whatever could be "lurking" in the darkness, human or otherwise. Just some random thoughts but very relaxing!
AT LAST! FINALLY!! a Log Cabin/snowstorm/logfire ambience video that I can ACTUALLY relax & fall asleep too! The sounds levels of each part is PERFECTLY balanced!
All the other videos I've tried are too loud with the howling winds & make me feel worse.
Only criticism is I wish it lasted longer than 3hrs hehe.

Back here again in 2022. This is truly a stunning room , beautiful colours, gorgeous lighting , and its general design or layout is just my cup of tea. This is one creation I just keep coming back to. I find this image to be mesmerising , it really is just so beautiful . There is nothing opulent about it . Its actually what it promotes that pulls at my heart strings . Its depicts simplicity and truth and it just embraces you .
You know somebody once said "houses are a lot like people , they are either your kind or they're not ". If you like honest good and humble people , you will love this house shown here in this amazing video . Thank you again to its creator .

I would leave the fireplace burning all night while I sleep on that bed and then wake up and make myself a breakfast omelette and then chores and some reading and letter writing and then walk outside for a bit to breathe the fresh cold air and then meditate for a good while to the sounds of the crackling fire and then make some hot earl great tea and listen to old jazz records then take a nice nap and afterward more chores then make a nice steak and potato dinner and listen to short wave radio before settling in again for a long winter sleep in that cozy bed while the fireplace crackles all night.
Just like to say, I’ve listened to this every night for over half a year. I’m not planning on breaking my streak. Thank you :)
