    Lyden was the UK's D’Angelo! Just an excellent musician and music all round. A sad loss for the British music community 😔

    Sometimes you meet someone and they leave a lasting impression on you, that was Dave (As I knew him). I worked with his brother for several years and knew his mum also, she had worked at the same place a few years prior, lovely lovely woman. Dave was an exceptional person, incredibly kind, thoughtful and just a really pleasent nice guy to talk with, he had a great sense of humour and those dashing looks to boot. He was very different before he got famous, like the way he dressed, bit of a geek, very bright, so seeing him all dappered up on TV was nice to see the contrast. He should of been a huge huge success, he would of blown up in America but time was cruel to him, taken way too soon and ever so quickly as well. Every now and then I'll hear one of his songs or someone mention him and it always brings a smile to my face.
    Years later a co worker of mine mentioned him and that they went to school together, small world indeed. R.I.P LD.

      It's a small world as you expressed. That's so interesting that you knew him before the fame. E.g. his dress sense, personality, etc.

    Listened to Linden in my late teens, spent many hours getting lost in his voice in my bedroom. What talent, what a man. RIP.

    Someone my brother grew up with and knew him as a teen He was way ahead of his time. I'd get my friends to all his gigs in London and Croydon. I think of him often. Lots missed out here but its clear he was special and unique ❤

    I totally adored this guy. His voice was something different and soothing. I've all 3 of his albums. Such a tragic loss to music overall

    "The British D'Angelo", so similar were their styles. I enjoyed his work and still have his debut album on CD. Rest In Power!

    Thank you for posting the video of the singer. I didn't realise he sang in the wedding seen on Love Actually. Such a shame that he had passed away. RIP.

      Hi
      Is there anyway I can get in contact with Nikki. It's a dream of mine to produce a documentary film about Lynden. I don't know how to reach her.

    I only discovered this guy back in 2018 when I was 16 so i never really grew up with the guys music but I really feel like music in the uk would be different if he didn’t pass away.

    Any Human with a brain would get the magnitude of both Lynden or TH. Unfortunately They are not here when we need them most. Lynden ahead of his time. 💫

    He was so handsome i love sexy Cinderella. I'm American and love urban music of London. Do I quality is good too! Why do the good have to go so soon...do Ephraim Lewis that is good one 😢

  • @BillBiggs1
    @BillBiggs1 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I think his music was too black for the UK charts, which generally lean more towards pop. this style of music would have better suited the American market. if he had taken more of a pop direction, like Seal he would have scored bigger hits and sold more but still hats off to him
