the problem with even making a base is that that plumbite and titanite dont respawn and dont form veins in the ground that you can place the mining machines onto so you either need to continuously move your base around OR drive your tech ever further away and back every time you need more of those resources. I really hope to see this changed in the near future to make a stationary base a viable option.
I thought that as well, until I noticed that when scrapping items, you get a ton of plumbite... and titanite comes from the plows, and the geo corps regular blocks. I overflow with these when crafting now, as I scrap those things I can make later.
"Making a fully functional base in TerraTech is Awesome..." Unless even your $1k gaming pc lags on low graphics when you have a couple full silos of resources... Can't we have something that's essentially the storage unit but for resources?
Xact Lee I think it depends on the graphics card you are using , like even the gaming rigs big youtubers has lag up even before it should if it was a similar building game , but it's still early access
Resources in silos should not be such a big problem anymore. They removed the physics from the resources in bases to reduce lag, and it worked quite well. So if you havent already then try to make a base with lots of resources, it should work much better now. :)

solar pannel only work on a anchored tech , for exemple if you put a anchor on your vehicle and a solar plan , solar panel will turn on only when anchored , if you disable anchor on your tech , solar panel will retract and turn off.
I play on ps4 so I can't have a strong base and a strong tech so I just never set up a base I will usually set up a temporary base but take it down when I need to go
They did a multiplayer test stream about a week ago. So they can say things about it, and show how it looks currently. But yes, its still not known when it will be fully ready for release. umm...i have a problem...little money...little batteries, meaning mining is more dangerous because enemys spawn everywhere, even where ore is...not alot of blocks...not enough AIs...and not enough weapons...cant forget...not enough rotating anchors
no its ok , you can even uncanhor/anchor it at will with a button on the bottom left , so plan to put some whell or atleast something for move on your base.
I have a really nasty plan for the game. It is a destroyer but i cant make any blueprints since im outta resources. It is a trailored tank with the second trailor as a crafting base and the first one is a war machine storage.
My tips are just create a mobile base so you can go anywhere you want and you can pick up resources and selling but you must anchor your base but it's really slow but who cares use my tips
having a mobile base seems, well. eh. might as well just use that extra space for something else yknow? this is for starters when you load a world and when you dont have the mobile delivery canon, refinery and generator. just think about it. ( im late lessss goooo)
@@rockvolcano4187 damn i was confused as hell as to why people prefer anchored bases than mobile bases, quick google search a apparently the delivery canon and refiner no longer works on techs, which kinda sucks since back in the day i would have a 10x10 geocorp fat asf tech that would make me ton of cash just by exploring. Good times

What about a massive amount of shields, repairs and shock plating?
sometime a huge amount of powerfull weapon (hello megaton canon) , can bypass over even the strongest shield+regen.
