I didn’t realize nature could be a cruel place. That sad reality is that when the jackal pups mom leaves it’s a fifty/Fifty chance she might not return. The babies have to look out for themselves , mongoose n have strong family yiesy

I always like when I see animals that mate for life , as they’ll stick with one another & develop a deep bond & tend to just make it thru anything. It’s sad to see when one of them ever gets eaten though.
Sorry, did i miss something here? All i saw was a litter of pups waiting on mums return, dad was absent, like most other males in almost every species! If these animals pair bond for life one would think the male would make an appearance! Nope, didn't see him.... But just like men to take the credit where they did nothing but sperm donation, and don't kid yourself, it was always for his own pleasure, nothing to do with keeping the species alive

What makes something a “ pup “ versus something else , other than people labeling things just for their own preferences ? Doesn’t quite matter imo ..
Sadly they refuse to let go of the baby for weeks if not months and the heat of a humid jungle can breakdown tissue faster than a meat grinder, making it difficult to examine for diseases or virus ,if there even is a lab close enough to do the work. Many videos are done by remote cameras set to motion detector, they have no idea anything has happened until they upload and watch the footage...
That mother monkey wasn't be rough during grooming at 6:28, she was weaning the baby. As soon as she lets go, the baby immediately goes right back on the nipple.
