Apparently, the guy in the plant story is an abusive pos, and was working up to do worse. He admitted to doing it cause he wanted to bring her down a peg. She also found out he was gaslighting her daughter and being horribly verbally abusive towards her. So she's now kicked him out and is contacting a divorce lawyer.

First story: Amy has a problem. She’s going after married men and sees nothing wrong with it. The mother is wrong, the apology should come from Amy. Second story: Husband is either evil or stupid. Or both. Third story: This husband is insane. She needs to get as far away as possible.

0:05: Amy is the problem here, and her mom is just enabling her. I give credit to Lisa for sticking up for OP.
3:42: OP's husband has no regard for life. It doesn't matter whether it's plants, animals, or humans. OP needs to kick him to the curb, but it will be difficult with a kid in the picture.
6:10: The fact that OP's husband is pinching his kid is a red flag. There's no telling what else he intended to do to him. OP is right to seek divorce and full custody.

I read the original post about the plant killing husband.
She clarified she’s not obsessed with these houseplants and they’re kept mostly in this one area, not all over the house and there’s no bug problems, so that’s not why her husband killed them. They live in a townhouse owned by OP and her sister since they inherited it from their mother. OP also says husband has his own room that is an office/den/gaming room which she doesn’t keep plants in, and she doesn’t go in there as that’s his space. So they both have their own personal space for the things they enjoy. OP texted husband as she says it’s easier for him to open up in text than in person (red flag there imo). He said he did it to “knock her down a peg” (??? Wtf man), so she went into his office/gaming room to check if other commenters were right about him hiding something and she found a drawer full of their daughter’s dolls and dollhouse toys.
Apparently whenever their daughter “lost” some of these toys, he’d notice it then lecture her to the point she cried, telling her to be responsible for her stuff and things like that. OP says she would step in during these lectures and tell him to take a break. Afterwards, she told him not to come home and that he can pick up his things on Saturday (with her BIL and another man present) and she had her sister, BIL, and BIL’s dad over already to change the locks. OP is getting in contact with a divorce lawyer 😮‍💨
It seems to me that the soon to be ex husband felt emasculated and felt the need to try to empower himself by putting down his wife and child. Just sickening
Edit: oh, and that dollhouse husband lectured daughter about? OP was the one that bought it for her, it's her favorite thing to play with. He really is just threatened by OP it seems if he's only targeting things she buys/takes care of

I’m doing everything I can to protect them! This all happened a few days ago but I am in the process of getting a temporary restraining order. My lawyer is handling it and I understand it takes some time to actually get one and in the meantime I’ve been advised that I can just deny him visitation until he gets a judgement from the courts that forces me to grant him access to my babies but that takes time. So in the meantime he can’t force me or my babies to see him.
I’ve recorded every call and saved ever text. Literally documenting everything. Thankfully he’s saying and texting a goldmine of incriminating things that I hope would be sufficient information for a judge to give me and my babies a restraining/protective order and for family court to grant me primary and sole custody.

First story, I'd say don't do anything: You're Lisa's friend and she's on your side. It's good to get along with Lisa's mom, but not mandatory, besides:
1 Amy is an adult and if she needs an apology she can ask for one herself
2 If Amy's mommy wants to meddle then kid rules apply: Amy started it, not OP. And that was not an overreaction btw.
3 A few people allegedly saw the drama; a public apology thru SM would only make sure Everybody sees it, fueling the flames as OP said.

Edit: I thank everyone for giving advice. The townhome we live in is mine and my sister's, our inheritance from my mother. My husband has an office/den/gaming room that is his personal space and there are no plants there. There are also no plants in the kitchen. I'm not a plant hoarder. Like he has a room for himself, I also have a sunroom and that is where the concentration of plants live. He has no reason to go in there. It's not access to our backyard or anything. I saw some people saying maybe he's sick of bugs, but I do not have a fungus gnat problem. I did see one person ask why did I not smell the bleach when I was watering? And I can only say my nose wasn't all up in there maybe? I also usually use a natural systemic in my fertilizer water called sns-209 that smells heavily of rosemary, but I ran out last month and haven't replaced yet.
After our convo yesterday I needed space. I spent the night in my daughter's room on a trundle bed. I am going to text my husband today. He usually communicates easier and opens up more via text, rather than face to face. I am going to ask for a reason and I'll see what he says.
Edit 2: sorry I'm not sure if I'm supposed to update on a separate post? My husband won't be welcome in my home any more and I need to find a lawyer ASAP on Monday. I did text him and he admitted again to putting bleach in my fertilizer water. He says it wasn't every jug I ever made so that explains why it wasn't all my plants dying but randomly over the past six months. His exact words were that I deserved to be knocked down a peg.
After the text communication I went home from work early and I entered his office. I usually respect his space absolutely. I don't even go in there to grab dirty dishes. I don't know what I was looking for but the hundreds of comments saying he was working up to something worse or already was doing something else really worried me. I went in there and I found a drawer full of my daughter's dolls and dollhouse furniture and little toys. I bought her that dollhouse for her fourth birthday last year and she has loved it. She takes such good care of her toys, but something always ends up missing and it's always my husband who notices. He lectures her about keeping track of her things and how he won't let her play with her dollhouse if she keeps losing things. He keeps going till she starts to sob. When I hear this going on I always always step in and ask him to go take a break. I assumed he was losing his cool. Ive told him this is not how to deal with this with a kid and he says he just wants her to grow up responsible. I now see it was some weird scheme? Or set up or something? He would steal the stuff and stash it away and point out it was gone to berate our daughter till she cried.
My sister and her husband and her husbands dad came over this afternoon and they've changed the locks. I've texted him to tell him he isn't coming back and that he can come on Saturday morning to grab his essential things but that my bro in law and another man would be there to watch.
Sorry if this is unclear of things seem missing..this reddit post isn't super my priority. I will probs not be updating again. Thank you to everyone worried about my safety.

How are you doing sweetie? How are you feeling? I hope just great!! In the very first story, Amy is just a very jealous and sinister young woman. They both put their foot down with Amy because just had had enough of of her mess. If the friendship between Lisa and the main protagonist gets ruined then it just gets ruined. In the second story, she should really go crazy on him because were hers, all hers, and taking care of them made her happy. She should divorce him right away for doing something so cruel like that. The nerve of him. In the third story, she should inflict so much paiin and agonny on him right away because he has crossed the line and there's no coming back. File for divorce, take out a restraining order, and press charges on him that monster too. I love you my friend!! Have a great day!! Stay safe!!
