I know that from the original game on the GBA. But I guess they removed it in case some new players may become overwhelmed by a short seemed level that turns out to be more. But I could be wrong.
The “wahoos” sound identical to the mario long jumps/side jumps from Mario Odyssey. A little disappointed we don’t get to hear the enthusiastic “WaHAH” from the original GBA game instead.
unironically switched to easy mode on the mm stage just to listen to the whole thing. it literally feels unreal to hear that song come out of my switch
I see that you no longer need to have a high enough score to get the star for each level. You just need to get all 3 presents. I’m sure SlimKirby will be happy about this!
There is still a requirment to speedrun levels, but, from what I understand, that is a seperate mode that is only unlocked after finishing the game. And also, it should only require you to beat the stage quickly, without worrying about the score, and potential points you'd get from presents or killing enemies. So the mechanic is still there, but hopefully less stressful.
2:12 I hate the voice clip they used for Mario here. To clarify, it's a fine voice clip. I'm just kinda disappointed that they didn't use the "yahoo!" From 64.
Not even three fucking hours and we already have Nintendo nostalgiatards shit talking a new Nintendo remake. How fucking typical. I’m not even mad, I’m just numb to this shit at this point.
Still torn on this. The idea of a MvDK remake by current age Nintendo was music to my ears following the personality they injected into Odyssey and Wonder, but this game is feeling partly like a holdover from early-mid 2010s Nintendo. The new content at least makes the price tag more digestible but even then I think I’m passing on this for now. I might bite once it goes on sale… in like two years
@@Jlopezocasio yeah /: the music isn’t as energetic, no more point scores, the models themselves look good but aren’t animated in any interesting ways (which is especially jarring off the heels of Wonder). Not to mention the lack of some iconic Mario lines 😭 rip the Italian gibberish and “YOU BIG MONKE” Overall it doesn’t feel as arcade-y as the original. Which I guess might’ve been their goal if they want people to fork over fifty bucks for it but we all know they could’ve spruced it up without sacrificing its sense of fun. Always a shame when a remake loses part of what made its source so memorable
@@Jlopezocasio Can I be perfectly honest? I’m honestly sick to freaking death of hearing nostalgiatards constantly whining about “charm” being “lost” in a remake compared to the original especially when it comes to Mario fans.
@@KidAL0 The point scores were literally an outdated mechanic from the arcade days that literally has no reason to exist other than bragging rights. That’s why they got rid of the point system in Mario Wonder because it’s an outdated system that nobody cares about anymore.
@@Rediscool9 oh I thought they were METAPHORICALLY an outdated mechanic. Thank you for clarifying it’s LITERALLY outdated and that there’s LITERALLY only one reason it ever existed Except that’s not entirely true as its removal here means no more time score, and no more time score means no more reason to complete levels with a sense of flow for stars since the timer is still pretty lenient. I’m kinda surprised they didn’t at least keep it in classic mode. Like yeah people don’t really care about the score itself but if it’s tied to marks of completion then different story. No one would care about number scores in action games but take the ranking system out of DMC and see how they’d like it

Could've waited till they all got inside.
Oof.
Still curious why Charles Marniet is voicing Mario in this game even though he retired… maybe because of reused lines?
I think Charles recorded voice lines for remakes like this. Because some of them I've never heard him say before.

NEW VERSION OF THE MINIS THEME LETS GOOOOO
It is so good

For some odd reason the demo was extremely slow and pixelated when I was trying to play it. Must be some glitch on my side.
Princess peach showtime demo also felt sluggish to people. I think nintendo don't give af about their demos lol.

Walk hours for the other red switch ✅
I honestly didn't see that other red switch when playing. Only noticed it after when I was editing the video. XD
Where's that music at the end from. I don't think I ever heard it in the original game

Some of the charm is gone like Mario and the mini Marios going towards the screen to show some detail. Now everything looks bland.
