@ZXMany: For context, Mario vs. Donkey Kong always used to be this way since the Game Boy days. The Mario puzzle platformer you see remade is the GBA game; the sequel to Donkey Kong '94 on the OG GB. The Lemmings style games you played were when the Mario vs. Donkey Kong moniker lost most of its identity, because Nintendo of America was in this purgatory where they'd churn out Lemmings sequels one after another all under the name of what was supposed to be a simple puzzle platformer of some of the most iconic rivals to date. Many people are excited about this remake because it could signal a return to form.
DK has never kidnapped Peach or Rosalina. Pauline is the one he goes after, though she isn't in this game. He just steals the Mini-Mario toys and you have to slowly recover them throughout the game.
The game where the rivalry between Mario and DK began, remastered for the Nintendo Switch. Also, there is a game that's in between Mario vs DK & MvDK: Miniland Mayhem, where you actually control the Mini Toys with your Stylus known as MvDK2:March of the Minis

Bro I’m so happy about this game it’s my childhood favorite but after playing the demo there’s only one thing I didn’t like is the fall damage there’s no fall damage but every Mario vs donkey Kong games had always had some fall damage . It always added a challenge and made it intense it would feel like you’re high in the air if you fall , everything else is perfect thoe that’s my only complaint still gonna buy it
