The Chicago Sky kicked off their WNBA season with aMedia Day on May 8, 2024. Press from around the country gathered to catch a glimpse of the team’s new faces, including high-profile rookies Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso.
🌟 Angel Reese, the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, wowed the cameras with her charisma and talent. Having completed her first 2 WNBA preseason games, Angel is ready to make an impact on the court. Her arrival has sparked renewed enthusiasm among fans, and her jersey sales are soaring!
🔥 Kamilla Cardoso, another rookie sensation, showcased her skills during Media Day. The Brazilian center promises to be a force in the paint, bringing her shot-blocking prowess and offensive versatility to the Sky.

Quita, I noticed from the beginning that Angel seems so much happier and relaxed since she has been here. It's like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders. Can't wait to see Kamilla back on the floor. The team seems to really work well together. 🏀😀

I agree with you. tSpoon is a special coach. In fact what the players said about her reminds me a ton of how the LSU players, Flaujae especially, describe Mulkey. Quita has called it. She is going to lead the Sky FAR this season!

Does anybody know how Kamilla Cordoso's shoulder is? Also, how are Angel and Kamilla getting along? I just watched the documentary "Full Court Press" and was reminded of the riff between Kamilla and LSU players.

She has created a name and brand...like a model, social media personality, and pro wbb player. U have to be in spotlight to stay relevant ..marketing 101$$$.. Also she is an extrovert...we all different personality types

Some people can't handle the attention, or Spotlight. Naomi Osaka had a hard time dealing with the Spotlight. You have to be a strong person to handle celebrity , Spotlight , public scrutiny.
That is apart of her brand- she has a lot of contracts- that she promotes.

If you're insecure about her confidence, that's not her fault. Focus on you.
I think she does...but as a fan of the NHL who's frustrated at it's relative lack of popularity in the States because of a culture that forces false modesty on its stars and strips away their personalities...the reality is you need compelling characters whom you hate to love and love to hate. Pro sports is entertainment and people want to be entertained and she's someone who is def that lol
