I did have all my consoles hooked up previously but then sold a bunch of them. Just kept the 8 and 16bit stuff hooked up. Everything else I emulate. I need to pick up that Saroo. I’d love to see a follow up review video
Emulation is so much more than getting stuff for nothing aint it,preserving games, language hacks etc Will do a Saroo vid separately definitely 👊🏻keep sexy bro
I was not ready for that intro. 😅 Brilliant. Emulation is too vague of a word for me when someone asks me about it. I am on board with hardware emulation but am hit or miss when leaning entirely on software to do the lifting, I generally don't go in for it. But at the end I want people to share the experiences that I cherish about gaming and to embrace the art form. So, we all have our preferences. Game on. ❤
For me the best part of emulation is being able to redefine the controls. That way you have a standard way of playing from the oldest systems onwards. It makes such a huge difference, as using up on the joystick to jump for example is really unreliable and frustrating and uncomfortable. Having the same controller button be jump in every game makes jumping in and enjoying older games so much easier.
I know this Jam! " It's my Gerf, Its now or never, I ain't gonna Gerf forever!" All sega games in one cart, that is really cool. I wouldn't mind picking it up. Emulation is a kind of a tricky thing for me. I have a few of those Raspberry PI boxes with 100,000,000, 000, 000 games on it and its' one of those things where I can't seem to enjoy the console. The controller is usually different and the buttons don't match up but, also because you have so many choices I find myself not really wanting to play any of them. Same thing with channels on the TV, with a few channels you'll usually gravitate to the one of three options and watch that, with so many choices you end up channel surfing for hours without actually watching anything. That SNK controller looking thing looks pretty cool too, thanks for showing this off, I might want to pick up a few of these. Keep it sexy!

YES Gold2th in the bath!!! I’ve been into emulation since I was a teenager. Some people don’t like it because of the piracy angle but my view is that if there is no legitimate way to purchase these games and an original goes for stupid money then why should I pay that? If Konami were still selling copies of Snatcher for the Mega CD I would buy that in a heartbeat but £400 second hand? No thanks!
Bathtime anthems 😉yeah you emulate quite a bit but for me the language modded games on rpg’s etc and unreleased games are awesome. Emulation fits into many situations like Brenda at a swinging party 😜have a great weekend 🤘
For me it's about replicating the experience. I don't care much for physical items, I gave up collecting a long time ago. But there are unique consoles. Like the 3ds can't really be replicated so I have a real one. However Atari Lynx games run beautifully on it, so I don't need a Lynx. As far as Genesis / Mega Drive stuff, I'm really fond of the 3 button controller. But using emulation and that controller is enough for me. Saturn is the same, the controller is enough. It is interesting to see how everyone has difference preferences. Emulation also adds additional features like save states, upscaling which is nice. It's also nice to not worry about fixing old hardware anymore, it was fun when no one took it seriously and it was cheap but nowadays it can be expensive to even get broken hardware.
Nice & yeah the 3ds is a unique handheld, good to hear thoughts on the subjects, emulation has some advantages as you say save states, load times, language translation etc. Not exactly emulation but i got an analogue mega but use original consoles, its all about the individual. I like emulation for convenience, but I mainly use it for systems I don't own like PS2, PSX, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, SEGA CD, Turbo CD etc on a mini PC I got. There's alot of other hard to own systems like Naomi, Atomiswave, Panasonic 3do, Amiga cd32, Commodore Amiga/64 that emulate beautifully even though I've never played original. I've even found roms on sites that I've never heard off because they were unreleased, I've picked up alot of translated JP Famicom, Pce, Pce CD, Game Boy, Saturn, SNES. There's alot of hacks available with new content, fast rom hacks for snes, the 32x Version of Doom was hacked and alot of improvements were made. The PSX version of Final Doom was hacked with over 100 maps not previously used in PSX doom games. There's many benefits to emulation but I will say it isn't always 100% compatible depending on the system, usually the newer systems. Other than that I do have original Super Famicom recapped, and an N64 because there weren't expensive to get. A Super Slim PS3 I bought years ago because I had no console or gaming system at the time and that's been soft modded so I don't have to emulate that system.
Emulation is a great way to explore without the price tag and hoarding consoles, improvements and language translation roms are really good,Something for the hardest of collectors or casual gamers and everything in between,Awesome comment that mate appreciate it,have a good weekend 👊🏻

The sweet sounds of a bubble beard serenade. nice Emulation, emulation, emulation.. where do i even start? I actually don't mind it, as far as playing for fun and convenience, it's the best possible solution. I do think it's important that people know how the original hardware/software performed bitd. For you, for me, and others around our age.. we all know exactly how fast those original consoles operate. I think about younger folks that have never had to deal with real hardware limitations, some of these newer gaming rigs have no slowdown. Like i said, it's all good, when it's for fun. It does hurt my head, when i hear about some dudes using Emulation to cheat on "official" high scores.. or the miriad of tubers that use TAS in their videos, just so they can claim they set a "new world record.." that's just lame. I’m the same as you dude I have all my consoles hooked up to a crt and all with everdrives. I have to play on the OG consoles just feels a lot better and how it use to be. I bought a raspberry pi and had it hooked up to a tv but just wasn’t the same as playing on a OG console. It’s nice to be able to play games I can’t afford to buy or want the games collection getting too big 😂🤣
Refreshing to see a video without someone salivating over CeX credit, emulation is a funny thing, I have all the mini consoles modded but just added extra games for that system
Since i picked up that Saroo for Saturn i thought id talk about emulation and how i use, yeah do right more games added its rude not to,appreciate it man 👊🏻
It’s a preference mate, I’ve got a lot of games but over the last year have started emulating, had the saroo for two months now and I’m loving it, a great bit of kit👍🏻. And just picked up a zega mame gear it’s brilliant, while the missus is watching some shit on Netflix, I’m playing on a lynx or snes emulator👍🏻😎🍺.
You aught to bottle that bathwater, mmmmm. Personally I have nothing against emulation, just not for me. I much prefer shouting at old systems/games because I can't get them to work 🤣
See i dont view it as emulation if you're using an everdrive/ODE type device on the original hardware, its only emulation if like you say your using a raspberry PI or you are running others systems not native to the hardware (psp running snes as again you mentioned) You sound like you have very similar thought process as me when it comes down to it, i have all the games, we all have access to all the games if we wanted, but you dont own them do you and thats where the collector rears his head, more so for our generation as BITD this stuff wasnt cheap(still isnt) so im kinda buying the stuff i always wanted but could never have, good topic Rodders!
All types of games on any media do and probably will wear out / break ,i also love collecting the originals but why risk a hard to find or rare game when you can keep it safe in the collection and use an emulator . Its true that not all games work properly or look as good emulated but if you can use the original hardware with it soft modded like my PS2 with macboot ,your loosing nothing ! Gerf on
Epic ole bubble bath intro man, fair balls to you!🎵🤣 Nice video grats on the new sub squad, I've always been a gamer never really a collector so as long as I have decent access to the games I enjoy I'm a happy boyo and don't mind how anyone else enjoys the hobby as long as they ain't hurting anyone it's all good!🕹🥸🎮🍀

I bought a raspberry pi and had it hooked up to a tv but just wasn’t the same as playing on a OG console. It’s nice to be able to play games I can’t afford to buy or want the games collection getting too big 😂🤣
Yeah man love it & i know people feel different but awesome to hear you’re the same, easy and efficient like the bingo gals 🤪
@@Gold2thGaming I’m definitely a Brenda 🤣
😂love that 👌
Refreshing to see a video without someone salivating over CeX credit, emulation is a funny thing, I have all the mini consoles modded but just added extra games for that system
Since i picked up that Saroo for Saturn i thought id talk about emulation and how i use, yeah do right more games added its rude not to,appreciate it man 👊🏻
You been taking a leaf out of Ali’s book? 🤣🛀
It wasn’t me it was Jon Bon Gerfy 😃
Pretty good American accent!
@@GarydeBrown I couldn’t remember what Jon Bon Jovi sounded like so i just went with it 😁
Hahahahahahaha in the bath!!!!
Maybe more to come 😜

@@Martin.Lord.Waghorn6666 I joined on about 50 mins in and spent maybe an hour, clicked back on about 1:30 maybe and they was still going strong 👊🏻
@@Gold2thGaming they went on for like 8 hours 😆
@MartinWaghorn568 Thats dedication 👌
Love that & the Saroo is a great bit of kit for the money, you know how to party for sure, thanks man appreciate the comment 👊🏻
Yes goldtooth 👍
Hell yeah dude 🤘
Keeps games alive when youncant get the games or consoles plus its cheaper
Definitely does 👌hacks, mods, language translation roms make it even more sweet,Thanks & have a great weekend
@@Gold2thGaming no trouble you have a great weekend too mate
You aught to bottle that bathwater, mmmmm.
Personally I have nothing against emulation, just not for me.
I much prefer shouting at old systems/games because I can't get them to work 🤣
Hahahaaa i sent a bottle of the bath water to France 🤪shouting out systems/games 😂🤣i love it
See i dont view it as emulation if you're using an everdrive/ODE type device on the original hardware, its only emulation if like you say your using a raspberry PI or you are running others systems not native to the hardware (psp running snes as again you mentioned)
You sound like you have very similar thought process as me when it comes down to it, i have all the games, we all have access to all the games if we wanted, but you dont own them do you and thats where the collector rears his head, more so for our generation as BITD this stuff wasnt cheap(still isnt) so im kinda buying the stuff i always wanted but could never have, good topic Rodders!
Thanks Tooty, its the old school mentality we got and the passion for collecting, very well put,Thanks man
All types of games on any media do and probably will wear out / break ,i also love collecting the originals but why risk a hard to find or rare game when you can keep it safe in the collection and use an emulator . Its true that not all games work properly or look as good emulated but if you can use the original hardware with it soft modded like my PS2 with macboot ,your loosing nothing !
Gerf on
Exactly my thoughts 👌
Great comment you sexy devil 😈
Macboot is great and so easy.
Have a good weekend 👊🏻
First ! Live in the bath 😂😂😂😂😂
Gerf splash surpreme 💦
Can you sell your bath water please
😂Some on its way to France
@@Gold2thGaming can’t wait to down it
Falta poco para los 1000 Ahí te sigo y recomiendo, si querés mira lo que hago. Saludos y éxitos. Collector!!!

Epic ole bubble bath intro man, fair balls to you!🎵🤣 Nice video grats on the new sub squad, I've always been a gamer never really a collector so as long as I have decent access to the games I enjoy I'm a happy boyo and don't mind how anyone else enjoys the hobby as long as they ain't hurting anyone it's all good!🕹🥸🎮🍀
Appreciate that mate & emulation kinda works for everyone so let it run free into the wilds of our homes 👍🏻have a great weekend 🪇🎉🍾👊🏻
