  • In this video, I discuss the importance of Taking Care of Your Partner. I believe this is the biggest shortcut to better results at the table. Here are some thoughts:
    1. Take Charge when you know what to do!
    2. Clear Signaling.
    3. Know thy Partner.
    4. Be careful about stealing your partner's focus. Treat them well, and save criticisms and discussion for away from the table.

Thank you for this video. Counting losers was always a point of confusion for me. This video was excellent!

At 4:12 you mention high-low to show an even number and low-high to show an odd number. Please explain or provide a reference. Even/odd number of what? High-low...what does that mean? (I'm a beginner)

Hi michelle, There is an agreement you can have with your partner while defending to give partner "Count". This means telling your partner if you started with an odd number of cards in the suit or an even number. Hopefully partner can deduce how many based on other factors in the hand. If we play high-low we can show an even number, low-high and odd number. There is more to this, but most of all what is required is partnership agreement if you employ this!

Why are you not playing a Heart at trick 2 instead of misguessing Diamonds, which can wait....!?
