Yeah, small- but really cool. I'm thinking about 1/4 acre, believe it would be perfect, but if I needed it to be the size of this one here, I'd be happy. Great work.
If you wanted to could you add on to this pond even tho it’s full? I’m just curious bc I’m wanting to build mine but start off small and expand it later but didn’t know if you could do that
You’re the first video I’ve watched where a pond was built without a dam. Everyone else says a dam is needed, can you explain why one wasn’t needed here?

Cool little pond, only downside I can see is depth. You may find that it will get to warm to support fish and may become a hot stagnant swamp.
Pretty much. 4 days of work and basically nothing as a result.
Xlent job. I really like it. 👍
Thanks alot
Great job
Cool I can’t wait to do mine this weekend
Awesome. How big of a pond you putting in?
Im about to dig a pond similar to this , can i ask how you filled it and if you find it holds water ok.
Nice job!!
your bucket got a hell of a lot of play in the pins and bushing
Oh yeah. Used machinery for ya
I don’t know where your at or from it that hedge line your talking about is a tree line! There are not any hedges in there.
Good job
Great video
How big is this? I can't always judge. Lovely job! I want one for myself....
This is quite a small pond. Only about 1/8 acre. But it turned out beautiful

@@sbwyo1966 thank you. Hope it works out well for you. And thanks for watching!
Do you have to have a keyway if you don't need a dam?
@@RandyJoyce1960 Depending on the ground type no. This was full clay, so no reason for it. But if there would have been any dike, then yea

Yes would most likely have to drain it first though
Will a pond this size support any fish life?
Definitely. Species like Koy and sunfish would do well. Just wouldn’t be alot of them. Also perfect for frogs
another good 1 i am subscribing
Appreciate it alot

Perfect layout of the land. Most of our ponds require a dike. This pond happened to be in a very low spot where the entire landscape funneled into
Looks like it was made to drain wet farmland
A bigger bucket 😇mayby 😇
Slowly adding to our arsenal of equipment. We do have a 4 foot ditching bucket now
How deep did you dig it???
I believe this one was about 5 feet deep
Where are you located?
Western NY
@@janoraoutdoorscool, I’m from Dunkirk. I have a small 3 1/2 acre lot. This would be a great size pond for me

I was wondering with that kinda water seepage you might get stuck!
Yes very wet pond. We almost got stuck in the dozer multiple times.
ground was already wet, this helps the farmers have a dryer field
Looks good but that ain’t 5 foot deep.. if I couldn’t have it at least 6 foot in the middle I wouldn’t waste my money.
Definitely 5 foot deep. Cameras are deceiving. This was a small pond. Owner didnt want it big.
Four days =?$
Yes. Very impressive. Fastest we’ve ever seen one fill
thats not a pond , its a mud puddle
Haha. Pretty close in size
Please learn to use the international unit system. We are not in medieval England, and I do not understand those units you use.
Im from USA. I know we don’t use metric system. Pretty dumb
