My favorite ff game. I need a Yuna in my life. Submissive, feminine, but powerful and can stand her own. The way she is so new to all the feelings she’s feeling. And tidus is there to help and press her. She’s so gullible like, it’s her first time experiencing the world and knowing what’s LOVE is.
the only part that's wrong about your statement is that is not just among the final fantasy scenes, I'd say is up there even if we count everything gaming related and heck i'd even go as far as say entertainment related.
FFX has the best love story of all the series. So mature and so pure. Just keep in mind that is very rare to see physical love demonstrations on any japanese media product, so it makes it even more beautiful.
Dreamy, whimsical and otherworldly. There wasn't anything like it before, and there hasn't been anything like it after. This is human imagination's magnum opus.
What gets me is that Yuna was suppose to die and that was her Destiny but Tidus who never planned to die/disappear took her Destiny to die/disappear but didn't know until the very end but accepted it with no hesitation and no show of emotion. Truly he loved her!
This scene is even sadder when you take it at the end. Tidus, who was hellbent on inviting Yuna and the rest of the party to his Zanarkand, only to find out that he's actually someone who got isekai'd to the real Spira by the people he knew and loved, and that his Zanarkand is a mere dream created by hundreds of thousands of people who got sacrificed by Yu Yevon to create Sin and had to preserve the glory of the doomed town in a dream, thus making him no mere of a dream entity himself. He just stood silence when he was told what's going on, don't want to surprise anyone by that fact, and only revealed it at the end when he was just going to say goodbye and had to break his promise showing his Zanarkand to Yuna and doing all normal fun stuff he always did there.
This is essentially Yuna's Gethsemane. Persecuted by the very world she loved so much that she would die for their happiness and salvation, she is tempted once more to stray from the path that's been set by her father before her. And she comes so close to giving in that it nearly breaks her inside and she cries. But that very moment she cried is ironically when she proved her own strength; in the face of such great temptation, she stands her ground and stays on the selfless path because she knows it is the right thing to do. Her morality, determination, and love for others shines through, and it is for this reason that Tidus ends up falling in love with her in this very moment. Suteki da ne?
I must agree with you but I remember when I played this blind first time and I saw Yuna agreeing with Tidus about abandoning the quest I already thought Yuna was only playing with Tidus and wanted to give him hope while she already knew she would never turn back. But when she started crying I was so surprised cause I started thinking did she really even consider that? No matter how it is she is such a strong character!
@@MANJYOMETHUNDER111 I disagree. They make it very clear from the intro that Tidus was a bit of a player, so if he had any interest in Yuna, it would have likely been on the same level or an amazement along the lines of "Whoa, that girl can summon creatures!" But definitely not love. I firmly believe that he did not start to have real feelings for her until the revelation in Home. If you had said the opposite--that Yuna had feelings for Tidus near the start--I would be more inclined to agree with you. Yuna had some feelings for Tidus almost from the very beginning. While she for sure had feelings for Tidus at Mi'ihen, she was practically smitten by then, so she must have had feelings even earlier. I think it's understandable for Yuna to have felt something for Tidus as early as S.S. Liki. For her, it's really more a factor of fascination, proximity, and the fact that she's basically lived a sheltered life all that time, probably not having interacted with many boys her age. Also, there was a sincere naïveté to Tidus that Yuna apparently found endearing, owing to his ignorance of Spira's ways. Tidus is also one of the only people who doesn't treat her with any sort of reverence, whereas everyone else does, not just because she's a summoner, but also because she's a high summoner's daughter. So Tidus and Yuna were able to have an honest and informal relationship, which made it unique to Yuna. But with Tidus, you can actually see Tidus' feelings for Yuna grow as the story unfolds. All of it is obviously open to interpretation, but I think the sending at Kilika was the foundation of Tidus' growing admiration for Yuna. That time was his first time really seeing the horror and sadness that Sin brought, and his first time learning about the sending. Stopping a monster that leaves death in its wake. A ritual for guiding the dead to their final resting place. Both are the duties of a summoner. And Tidus was just taking in how sad Yuna's journey would have to be and the burden she had to bear. Tidus notes after the sending, "It must be tough, being a summoner"; he was learning just how strong Yuna had to be. It was just a budding interest then, and a case against could certainly be made for the opposite, but I think the earliest he might've started to have feelings towards Yuna was right after Luca. They bonded just before setting off on the Highroad after all, and Mi'ihen Highroad is certainly where Yuna for sure had feelings for Tidus since she recorded her sphere there. But any earlier, and I think Tidus was too burdened with the thought of going home. It wasn't until he realized that his father was Sin, and his fate was tied to Yuna's journey that he allowed himself to be emotionally closer to her. Starting from the Al Bhed home when Tidus learned the truth and started to discover the true depth of Yuna's strength was when he started to really like Yuna. This was when Tidus, who had been somewhat self-absorbed, finally sees the true depth of Yuna's selflessness. This continued through Bevelle and finally culminated at this scene in Lake Macalania. As Tidus learns more about the nature of her journey, he also starts to really discover the depth of Yuna's inner strength; once he finds out about Yuna's willingness to die for others, he remembers that through it all, Yuna would still "just smile" for everyone else's sake. In Lake Macalania, when Yuna drops that facade and breaks down is ironically when Yuna's inner strength became most apparent to Tidus. Yuna had remained steady throughout the rest of the game, focused on her selfless goal of saving Spira despite all the things that came her way. Now, faced with betrayal and persecution, it all reaches a boiling point. Why should she, now the most despised person in Spira, sacrifice herself for them? Why shouldn't she be selfish? Tidus of course sees this logic and offers it to Yuna. Her resolve wavers for a bit and she starts to wish things for herself, but ultimately, she stays her selfless course and decides that she'd still be willing to die for the rest of Spira even after she's been condemned and hunted by the world. This one moment when she shows vulnerability at the crossroads was Yuna's defining moment; Yuna proves that despite every reason and desire she has to drop her journey and live a life for herself, she is completely unwilling to go back on her values and principles and chooses to keep on going. It is also this same devotion--not to the Yevon religion but to the people of Spira, her ideals, and the memory of her father--that guides her decision to toss aside the Final Summoning and give Spira its Eternal Calm. So it was, during the moment Yuna cried, that Tidus realized how unbreakable and yet so precious Yuna truly was, which is why he resolved to protect her as a true guardian then--to protect her not till the end, but always--and sealed that silent promise with a kiss. THAT was the moment he fell in love with her.

So much agree. Yuna is the daughter of a grand summoner, and very strong inside. She has a massive burden to bear, but also Tidus can't help her feeling knee weak from the love she feels as a young woman. She isn't allowing herself to show her emotions almost throughout the game. Lol I feel silly writing this, but I think that she did a powerful voice acting job that is underestimated in video game journalism
They had yet to figure out how to alter character facial models to allow for dialogue switching between regions. Same reason why everyone talks funny in dubbed anime.

When i heard eyes on me (ff8).. there is hope and happy ending... but its dffrnt in this song.. there is only sadness.. and a love without happy ending..
I wish it wasn't cropped though. Only on the PS2 you see the whole picture. When they lost the original files, I guess they could not just render it 16:9.
Best part of the best game!
Unfortunately, Kimahri was just standing there creeping the whole time! Lol
Should of wore a Michael Myers mask that would of been appropriate.

When i watched this scene for the first time playing on the ps4, definitely was one of the best moments in my game history. FFX is my favorite FF game of the francise and still these days i think this game worth to play for those who didn't yet.

This Is One Of My Most Favorite Cutscenes In The Final Fantasy Series
best cut scene and best song ever from games
this is my favorite final fantasy all time. ❤️❤️❤️
Oh my childhood.
Zerei 3 vezes! Melhor jogo por batalhe de turno! Tudo nele é uma obra de arte S2
Yuna and Tidus are one of the BEST Final Fantasy couples 😍😍😍
Best FF game ever..glad I was alive at this era..
Best music is all of the final fantasy games.
I totally can feel how yuna be the x-2 yuna to feel whole again. She and Tidus, Lenne and Shuyin, I really can't..........
But the happy ending saved me.
Please show me your hands, Kimahri. Have you been standing there the whole time?
i gotta replay this game
This scene and music is so Epic ...love it!!!
I’ve always wanted to be Tidus in this scene
I have this on my Switch. It was one hell of a ride.
Still so good years from now. Hope they do a remake of FFX like their doing with FFVII
Suteki da ne started and my eyes got watery
When i heard eyes on me (ff8).. there is hope and happy ending... but its dffrnt in this song.. there is only sadness.. and a love without happy ending..
I wish it wasn't cropped though. Only on the PS2 you see the whole picture. When they lost the original files, I guess they could not just render it 16:9.
Ugh, I f***in love this damn scene.
Best scene ever!
this scene always make me cry
I love this game and this scene so so so much! ❤❤❤
only this game makes me happy and cry
I don't remember this scene. But I remember the love story. Making me an odd creature.
Love this. I'm sobbing.
This has become my favorite scene. If you or anyone else doesn't mind those. What camera and or setup do you use for the great audio and visual?
I only have my phone and visit my channel you can see how that went lol
I'm not sure, but it's likely Bandicam. That's the recording software most TH-camrs use and this was likely recorded while using an emulator.
came here just to cry
"I'd like to see it someday."
I personally think the song sequence is for something else happening in that spring. 😘
it absolutely is
Kisah Cinta Terbaik Sepanjang FF,
Visualisasi sangat baik,
Scene sangat dalam sekali,
Ost begitu indah,
Semua jadi satu di adegan ini,
What a perfect game
I'm actually quite looking forward to replaying the game again, once I FINALLY get a hold of a PS5. Goddamnit Amazon, STOCK UP ALREADY!
imagine the remake...
The best game EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just have something in my eye, that's all.
Why does this remind me of Titanic, Jack and Rose.
To me, this is the benchmark that the highwind scene needs to reach XD
man i hate seymore for stealing yuna first kiss but still at the end tidus FTW
Still play this game until today on pc
I like to think after Tidus left to go back Yuna was like "Who is Roger..."
My favorite final fantasy game ever
Yuna crying knowing she cant go to Zanarkand after she finish the pilgrimage
I came here after a rabbit muted the song for dmca in her LIVE
