Awesome thanks wow visiting the Train station and the wonderful pass and the farmstalls. Wish we could go soon to see all these places. You are both amazing
That is so awesome just loved that framstall. The things he had were amazing and I thought the sharing was so lovely of all the things that they made between them. Beautiful area.
We really enjoyed Bot River. I also thought it's super cool that all the townsfolk decided to collaborate during COVID, it really shows what a strong community spirit they have. 🤩
Wow, what a packed episode! Botrivier looks like a really nice and peaceful place! Very interesting that it got its name from butter! Thank you for showing us the Van der Stel Pass! Amazing that it was already operating in the 1700s! That spotted horse you saw looks a lot like the one that was moved to stables at Helderberg College in Dec last year. I'd try and find out if it's the same one.
Thank you, we're so glad you enjoyed our video of Bot River. We would love to do a train trip one day, so we're really hoping for a revival of the railways so that we can explore the countryside by rail for once. That would be an experience of a lifetime! 😁🚆
We also found the story of the Boontjieskraal men fascinating! They literally have everything under the sun at Dassiesfontein, you won't want to leave! 😁
Thank you for sharing your amazing journeys around South Africa. Not sure why your visit to Bot River did not include the Bot River Hotel and immediate environs as this is the hub of Bot River. The hotel is over 100 years old and my wife, friends and I have shared many wonderful weekends there. If you haven't seen it yet, the hotel is well worth a visit.
Thank you, glad to hear you enjoy our videos. 😊 We probably missed much more than the places you mentioned, but it is simply impossible to visit them all. We will keep in mind for a future visit though.
I was wondering in the beginning if you were going to the Wonderboom...so glad you did. I have stopped there a few times...really amazing. Waiting for the next episode,,,,
My brother moved to Botrivier from Bellville about 6 months ago. I visited there last moth....there is a lot of kol there and that station pub is expensive !!

Thank you! There was so much to see in this area, we just had to share it all. We're so happy that you enjoyed it too! 😁

I love it when the townsfolk share their hidden treasures
Agreed, it was because of Paul that we did the Van Der Stel Pass, we weren't planning to at all. ⛰️
Loved it
Thank you for joining us!'🚗

the wood shop in Botrivier is a must , very interesting
Agreed, it was fantastic stopping by and chatting to Paul. He knows so much about the town and area. And he sells great items too! 👌🏻
I love the stalls. That is my life. And the scary farm stories.

I believe Bot River has had quite an influx of new residents who move away from the bigger centres. I'll look for the koi next time! 🐠 😁
Was that white geese or ducks walking in a row🥰🥰
My knowledge of birds is limited, but I thought they were ducks! 😍🦢
Ons familie het dit Donkiefonteim genoem ipv Dassief.
And I understand completely why! 😍🐴
Lona Steyn of Louna ? Was my saam met my in ľAvenir privaat koshuis in Stellenbosch...lekker ou dae 1960ś
Sy was van Botrivier
Perhaps she still lives there, it's a really beautiful area. Glad to have taken you down memory lane with an old friend. 😊
Perhaps the moral of that scary story was that karma is real😮Always show hospitality towards others.
