Many happy memories of PWH from my childhood which I hold so dear and the fact I share these now with my children is very special... Rattlesnake will always be the rattlesnake, not eggspress lol!! Thank you for the 90s love!!! I do think she'll suits should come back after seeing them in this vlog hahaha xxx
The last time I went to Pleasurewood Hills was at some point during the mid to late 90s. I went there with my brother and stepdad. As I can remember it was a nice day and as usual the place was buzzing with lots of people. I'm not particularly keen on going on any of the rides as I suffer from dizzy spells although I do remember my brother going on a few rides. I always remember the death slide. Both my brother and my stepdad decided to slide down it together. I was among the crowd standing nearby the slide watching. As they were about ready to go down the slide, my brother suddenly flung himself forward and plummeted all the way down hitting his head at the bottom of the slide. He ended up knocking himself unconscious. The crowd were in shock. My brother ended up being taken to the nearest hospital where he spent the night. Me and my stepdad came with him in the back of the ambulance. My brother was discharged from the hospital the next day. That was the last time I went to Pleasurewood Hills. I don't think my brother remembers much of what happened!
Lovely place. My dad took me back in 95 96 and just yesterday I took my own daughter here and wanted to take her on the chair lifts like my dad took me. He was very ill and could only manage little rides back then so Was nice being with my daughter here. Cannonball still there and rattlesnake .. It's not eggspress just because you put an egg on the front.... It's the rattlesnake lol.. edit .... I just noticed you have some extremely rare footage of the cannonball express foundations being laid.. absolute gem of a video
Hi there! Glad you liked the footage. Its been languishing on old camcorder tapes for many years so I thought I'd upload it before the tape perishes and the camcorder stops working. I actually have some footage on my channel of the Cannonball express when it was on Folkestone seafront. It was called the Super 8 Bahn then. I'm glad its still up and running at Pleasurewood hills. I think they only made one of that particular model so its quite rare.
@@imansfield yes the shwartzkopf jumbo v .. I believe pleasurewood has only one car left running wich has only been kept alive by cannibalizing all the other trains over the years. Such a shame they took away the theming too.
Hi, I thought I was the only postie theme park vlogger in UK. Great to see all the old videos you have. Could you be the original theme park vlogger? Wonder how much more you have in your archives.
Hi there, yes glad to hear there are other coaster posties out there! Thanks for your comment, it’s always nice to hear that someone has enjoyed one of my old videos. When me and my mate Mark made those “video diaries” as we called them we never imagined we’d be able to share them with the world some 30 years later. We used to just bore the pants off our family and friends with them! I do have some more bits and pieces in the archives but it’s just finding the time to sod about with all the transferring and editing. I’ll get round to it at some point.
This is incredibly fascinating to watch! Thanks for the upload!
Was great back then, started going gradually downhill ever since, it's looked more and more empty and run down as the years have passed.
Soo good to see this, largely unchanged!!
😂 😂
Pleasurewood Hills is one of the greatest theme parks in England.
