Wow, haven't calibrated yet but another video said 8 feet = 1 line counter foot whereas you say 40-50 feet.. I have a similar sized reel so will be interested to see the results
So when you get your counter calibrated all it means is that the 100 feet you walked off is accurate. If you break some off or fish deeper than 100 feet the counter is no longer accurate.
Another tip... as long as you never break off.. when it is time to respool...new (same) line.. I just reset to 0... run off 200.. uni-knot.. then run back on 200... done...

Ive found changing 50 ft of line on 30lb power pro braid changes 3 feet of line.

What kills me is others.. say.. ohh.. its only off 2 feer.. not realizing how far that really is..
