Why did it take so long for traditional original Jurassic parks sets. I’ll never understand lego and them not taking advantage of the easiest things to make sets out of. The fact that we don’t have an evergreen Disney mini figure scale theme still wows me.
@@averagedisneyfan1775 that may or may not be true, but my best guess is the same reason why we never got lego minifigures for lego marvel even know lego had the rights, and said they didn’t. They wanted you to buy the more expensive lego sets for the exclusive mini figures. So I think they waited tell after the Jurassic world movies were done because they knew if they released Jurassic park lego sets first, people would buy them and be satisfied and no longer wait to buy anymore Jurassic world/park sets.🤷♂️
The brachiosaurus' tree Is the one for the scene where Grant and the kids pass the night out, It even has the egg shell at the base. "Life finds a way"
I noticed that, thought that was kind of an interesting way to get two scenes in one set, although they probably could have dropped the cost a lot if the tree build was more spindle-y like the a frame cabin or something.
I love the Brachiosaurus set! The reason the tree is there because it is encompassing 2 different iconic Brachy scenes from the movie which was a smart move and I actually like the build. The Brachy itself is massive which is probably why they chose not to give it poseable legs. The color seems off and definitely too pale but this is the only absolute must-have from the wave. The rest of the sets are good too but that Brachiosaurus set is on a whole other level.
they made sets based on Jurassic Park before, and Jurassic World is one of their most popular licensed series, so of course they would make sets based on Jurassic Park
3:51 if you notice there are some small changes in the build, such as the removal of windshield wipers. But more significantly is the number on the side of the vehicle. It says 04 instead of 05 like main vehicle in the T. Rex Breakout
The Brachiosaurus set has my attention! Lego sauropods are so rare! Hopefully if we get Lost World sets, the Stegosaurus will have proper sized back plates, not those weird undersized ones from the game!
Bruh the 2000 one is the best. You can buy for this price like ten or even more. And later change them to pleisiosauruses or my favourite of old theme: sand green parasaurolophuses (althought they will miss a tail tip)
I have to agree the Nedery set is easily the best value here as the scene and the Jeep are pretty well represented here. As someone who already got the giant T Rex set a while back the only really exclusive characters I guess are Dr Wu, and Muldoon though he does only come in an over priced 4 plus set. My favorite I think is the Triceratops as it has the same build for the Explore as the bigger set from last year, and a dino I still don't have from any of the other sets. Brachiosaurus set also looking good though the tree reminds me a lot of the one from that one Hobbit set from years back. Also again love that we're finally getting decent builds for jeep. Only one I'm likely to hold off on is the Visitor center as not much really is really happening. Also was expecting the interior with the Skeleton models not the actual exterior which feels like it would look right at home on the dessert planet of Tantonine.
I definitely do love the Brachiosaurus mold. Obviously we were never gonna get a LEGO Brachiosaurus that replicated the version we saw in LEGO Jurassic World the video game. At least not a fully molded version. Though I am a bit disappointed that the legs are on the same mold for the Brachiosaurus’ body instead of being separate, individually articulated pieces. But that’s my only real complaint about the Brachiosaurus set. Maybe they could have also used a darker grey for its color, but it still looks pretty fine. As for T.Rex and Velociraptor in the Visitor Center set, man… that has got to be some of the best and more detailed printing for LEGO dinosaur’s we’ve ever gotten. Yeah the interior for the set seems lacking, but at least we’re finally getting the Visitor Center in LEGO form, so baby steps. For the Dilophosaurus set, it does seem to have the best value out of the wave. And I’m really glad they’re using the printing based on the Fallen Kingdom Dilophosaurus this time around for the smaller Dilophosaurus mold. It definitely helps separate it from the previous two Dilophosaurus sets with that mold. I’m torn on the 4+ set because I always pass up on those, but like you said this is the only set with Robert Muldoon in it. I can’t say I have too much to say on the Triceratops set. I think it’s a fine set. And it might have a bit more value to it than the Dominion Triceratops set, due to the extra pieces and larger size of the vehicle. But as an added note; now that LEGO’s given us proper Jurassic Park sets, here’s to hoping we get more from the original trilogy down the line. Lord knows the amount of dinosaurs we’re still missing. Parasaurolophus, Pachycephalosaurs, Corythosaurus, Stegosaurus, Spinosaurus, Ceratosaurus, maybe a new Velociraptor head mold to represent the quill-headed Velociraptors from Jurassic Park 3, maybe some Compy’s, and maybe some Troodons-as reference to the LEGO game. Of course there’s other dinos we also need from the Jurassic World trilogy, such as the Mosasaurus, the Allosaurus, Monolophosaurus, Nasutoceratops, Sinoceratops, Dimorphodons, Dimetrodons, and the Scorpius Rex. It’s a long list, but it’s one I hope LEGO can accomplish the majority of so long as they keep doing Jurassic Park/World sets.
You make a lot of great points and a thorough analysis of the line, but has Lego really given us "proper" Jurassic Park sets? The juniorization says otherwise. They have done much better in the past. These new sets are great starting points and bring new things, but many of them should have been 18+. That iconic JP vehicle tour scene with Richard Kiley's narration comes to mind when he says "spared no expense". Not the case here, Lego spared a lot of expense :/.

These are pretty dope, I just wish they had put gennaro in one of these sets and used the new fedora hair combo for Dr grant. I’m surprised how good the visitor center is for its scale and price count. I hope they make a mini fig scale park gate in the future
Personally, I wish the brachiosaurus had movable legs similar to the original weird system dinosaur line, and I wish the neck we split into two pieces to allow for more articulation. All in all not bad, but it just feels more Duplo than system.
The new Brachiosaurus looks incredible!!! I think the high price is a bit more justified, considering the new mould. Also, I love the new box art for this range!! The colours are very eye-catching.

Brachiosaurus are my favorite dinos so it's so cool to finally get them. Definitely gonna display it with the Tallneck and the fan made brach alt build for the Ideas fossils set.
I would like to see the JP Tour Vehicle in the same style as the Ghostbusters and Back to the Future scale and style. A lot of easter eggs to hide (The glasses for the T-rex steps, the nightvision goggles, a break away cabin, interactive DVD"s, flares).
I’d like to see those in the Speed Champions style as well, since it would fit the scale of everything else and make the vehicles look so much better. These ones look too juniorized for me as-is.

I just think the Brachiosaurus Discovery set should be a quote set like the T-Rex attack. Smth like "welcome to the Jurassic Park", that line is iconic. But I also understand that it would make it very expensive set
There is more to the visitor center, you can see the fossilized t-rex through the doors. Don't like how the packaging is misleading with the stairs and fountain. But as a nice facade of such an iconic building is really nice.
I believe the weird tree is supposed to be the tree where they sleep on and chill with the brachios, so it's actually a nice play feature or way to recreate a scene from the movie if you think about it that way
I appreciate that in the Tric set it has car 4, which is the destroyed one in the T-Rex Breakout set, so if you have both sets you'll now have two complete cars.
I can't remember the last time I was this excited for a wave. I really expected them to do the brachiosaurus brick built, but I'm stoked to see a molded one. This is also the best trike we've had since 2012. I'm so thrilled to see the tour vehicle in a cheaper set (though now I'm wishing I hadn't gotten the overpriced t-rex breakout). I'm hoping this wave does really well, and Lego sees how much money there is in classic JP sets
It's cool that they released the lime green car separately from the diorama set. Though I still would have loved for it to be a Speed Champions design.
Just2good is literally just too good! He is the best Lego youtuber by FAR. Even when I see that another channel has a video out about a new leak or reveal and just2good doesn't, I always wait until just2good uploads a video about it and I watch that one before I watch others or even look at pictures of the reveal.
I guess u can use the tree in the brachiosaurus set to recreate the scene where the explorer car is stuck in the tree and Alan needs to get Timmy out of the tree/car. Just mod the car to look damaged. I wish they can do a polybag of the lawyer minifigure and a toilet build.
If I had to guess, the tree in the Brachiosaurus Discovery set is probably there for the scene in the film where Timmy, Lex, and Dr. Grant are up in the tree and wake up to a Brachiosaurus munching on a branch a couple of feet away from them
I’ll be buying every last one of these, I missed out on the first Jurassic Park set from 2018 but I had the other two, then I heard about this wave and went to Bricklink to go back and get it so I could get them all 😅
The giant tree at the brachiosaurus is so you can recreate the scene of Alan and the kids sitting in it while the brachiosaurus eats the leaves. That’s why it’s so thick and has a viewing platform. In the triceratops one, the car is the same as T. Rex set last year. The only difference is that it says 04, while the other one says 05. These were the two cars in the movie, and 04 was the destroyed one in the T. Rex set. In the 4+ raptor one, the enclosure is based off of the paddock in the movie, although made much simpler.
I'm planning to buy all but the Visitor's Center sets. I already have MOCs for all the vehicles, so I will mostly be buying these for the figures, dinosaurs, and the poop. Very happy we're finally getting a Muldoon and a regular Malcolm. But I'm definitely bummed that there will be no hair and hat combo piece for Grant - it was my first thought/hope when I saw the new Indy sets.
This is probably going to show Lego that the original Jurassic Park movies will still sell well and that they should cover more of them. I personally would love to get sets for the Lost World with Compies, and some of the dinosaurs from that movies, as well as a Jurassic Park 3 set with a Spinosaurus.

I'd probably get the ones with the Jeeps and the Explorer because one, I'm sort of a car guy, and two, I like anything Lego that has vehicles in it, especially the good looking ones based on real life cars

These sets looks good, I love to see sets for The Lost World and JP3, but seems like it is all focus on the original first movie and looks like they are doing sets from iconic scenes, wish they made sets for the Gallimimus scene and the kitchen scene too, so yeah
I rly like the vehicles in this wave. Even tho they're basically different type of jeeps. Jurassic park sets nails the car designs very well with plenty of interior space.
I want so much that there are for the next Lego Jurassic Park sets : -a remake Tyrannosaurus Rex figure with the tip of his upper jaw a little wider and rounded, the top of his head just above his eyes less extended, and the metatarsals less chunky; -a remake Velociraptor figure directly based on the new Lego Atrociraptor figure with just the modified muzzle; -a JP3 male Velociraptor figure based directly on the new Lego Atrociraptor figure with just the modified muzzle, thorns or proto-feathers behind the head, and the ridges near the eyes; -Tarbosaurus from Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous Hidden Adventure with especially the tip of its upper jaw a bit wider and rounded; -Mount Sibo volcano (measuring 50 centimeters wide).
I love the brachiosaurus, I’ve been waiting so long for a Lego sauropod and I’m so happy it finally came, while I wish it had more articulation. It’s still great to me.
I agree with most of the comments that this year isn't easy on the wallet. These Jurassic park sets on the priority list since the dinosaurs are now brown instead of a bunch of weird colors.
The tree with the brachiosaurus is supposed to be from the scene where Alan and the kids fall asleep in a tree, wake up and there's a brachiosaurus looking right at them.
Ellie in 4 of the 5 sets seems like overkill, but I guess it makes sense for the scenes they are depicting. I wish we were getting the lawyer character. Fingers crossed for a GWP of the lawyer with the outhouse.
honestly suprised they didnt make the gate, but I love the visitor centre, its simple, but its enough. I think lego did an awesome tribute to Jurassic Park with this.
the reason for big prices is because lego knows these sets will be sold out everywhere and the t rex and Raptor figure will go up in value over time. and the characters. their prices go very high
Only real change I would’ve made (aside from having the visitor center be an exorbitantly priced diorama set) would be to throw Harding into the Triceratops set. But that’s because I read the book and liked Harding in it.

I just think the Brachiosaurus Discovery set should be a quote set like the T-Rex attack. Smth like "welcome to the Jurassic Park", that line is iconic. But I also understand that it would make it very expensive set
The lack of articulation on the brachiosaurus legs really bothers me. Will make animating awkward. But dang....Brachiosaurus.

There is more to the visitor center, you can see the fossilized t-rex through the doors. Don't like how the packaging is misleading with the stairs and fountain. But as a nice facade of such an iconic building is really nice.
I believe the weird tree is supposed to be the tree where they sleep on and chill with the brachios, so it's actually a nice play feature or way to recreate a scene from the movie if you think about it that way

I appreciate that in the Tric set it has car 4, which is the destroyed one in the T-Rex Breakout set, so if you have both sets you'll now have two complete cars.

I can't remember the last time I was this excited for a wave. I really expected them to do the brachiosaurus brick built, but I'm stoked to see a molded one. This is also the best trike we've had since 2012. I'm so thrilled to see the tour vehicle in a cheaper set (though now I'm wishing I hadn't gotten the overpriced t-rex breakout). I'm hoping this wave does really well, and Lego sees how much money there is in classic JP sets

It's cool that they released the lime green car separately from the diorama set. Though I still would have loved for it to be a Speed Champions design.
Just2good is literally just too good! He is the best Lego youtuber by FAR. Even when I see that another channel has a video out about a new leak or reveal and just2good doesn't, I always wait until just2good uploads a video about it and I watch that one before I watch others or even look at pictures of the reveal.

I guess u can use the tree in the brachiosaurus set to recreate the scene where the explorer car is stuck in the tree and Alan needs to get Timmy out of the tree/car. Just mod the car to look damaged. I wish they can do a polybag of the lawyer minifigure and a toilet build.

If I had to guess, the tree in the Brachiosaurus Discovery set is probably there for the scene in the film where Timmy, Lex, and Dr. Grant are up in the tree and wake up to a Brachiosaurus munching on a branch a couple of feet away from them

The giant tree at the brachiosaurus is so you can recreate the scene of Alan and the kids sitting in it while the brachiosaurus eats the leaves. That’s why it’s so thick and has a viewing platform.
In the triceratops one, the car is the same as T. Rex set last year. The only difference is that it says 04, while the other one says 05. These were the two cars in the movie, and 04 was the destroyed one in the T. Rex set.
In the 4+ raptor one, the enclosure is based off of the paddock in the movie, although made much simpler.

I'm planning to buy all but the Visitor's Center sets. I already have MOCs for all the vehicles, so I will mostly be buying these for the figures, dinosaurs, and the poop. Very happy we're finally getting a Muldoon and a regular Malcolm. But I'm definitely bummed that there will be no hair and hat combo piece for Grant - it was my first thought/hope when I saw the new Indy sets.
Finally we get the T-Rex from Jurassic Park 1 with the correct colors, not even the 18+ set did

This is probably going to show Lego that the original Jurassic Park movies will still sell well and that they should cover more of them. I personally would love to get sets for the Lost World with Compies, and some of the dinosaurs from that movies, as well as a Jurassic Park 3 set with a Spinosaurus.

I am disappointed that brachiosaurus’s legs don’t move, but I’m still getting the set.
I'm excited for these sets, but I'm definitely going to make some modifications to those Jeeps
I'd probably get the ones with the Jeeps and the Explorer because one, I'm sort of a car guy, and two, I like anything Lego that has vehicles in it, especially the good looking ones based on real life cars
fun fact this isnt the first time lego has made a lego brachiosaurus in 2001 lego introduced a theme called dinosaurs where 4 different dinosaurs where introduced t rex, mosasaurus, styracosaurus and brachiosaurus
These sets looks good, I love to see sets for The Lost World and JP3, but seems like it is all focus on the original first movie and looks like they are doing sets from iconic scenes, wish they made sets for the Gallimimus scene and the kitchen scene too, so yeah

I rly like the vehicles in this wave. Even tho they're basically different type of jeeps. Jurassic park sets nails the car designs very well with plenty of interior space.
I want so much that there are for the next Lego Jurassic Park sets :
-a remake Tyrannosaurus Rex figure with the tip of his upper jaw a little wider and rounded, the top of his head just above his eyes less extended, and the metatarsals less chunky;
-a remake Velociraptor figure directly based on the new Lego Atrociraptor figure with just the modified muzzle;
-a JP3 male Velociraptor figure based directly on the new Lego Atrociraptor figure with just the modified muzzle, thorns or proto-feathers behind the head, and the ridges near the eyes;
-Tarbosaurus from Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous Hidden Adventure with especially the tip of its upper jaw a bit wider and rounded;
-Mount Sibo volcano (measuring 50 centimeters wide).

I love the brachiosaurus, I’ve been waiting so long for a Lego sauropod and I’m so happy it finally came, while I wish it had more articulation. It’s still great to me.
Hopefully that visitor center is not that expensive definitely will wait for a deal. The rest I will probably get first thing.

I agree with most of the comments that this year isn't easy on the wallet. These Jurassic park sets on the priority list since the dinosaurs are now brown instead of a bunch of weird colors.
The tree with the brachiosaurus is supposed to be from the scene where Alan and the kids fall asleep in a tree, wake up and there's a brachiosaurus looking right at them.
The Brachiosaurus is a definite buy, albeit a year later and on significant discount
I hope that parasaurolophus, stegosaurus and spinosaurus also get exclusive molds.

Ellie in 4 of the 5 sets seems like overkill, but I guess it makes sense for the scenes they are depicting. I wish we were getting the lawyer character. Fingers crossed for a GWP of the lawyer with the outhouse.
honestly suprised they didnt make the gate, but I love the visitor centre, its simple, but its enough. I think lego did an awesome tribute to Jurassic Park with this.
the reason for big prices is because lego knows these sets will be sold out everywhere and the t rex and Raptor figure will go up in value over time. and the characters. their prices go very high
Only real change I would’ve made (aside from having the visitor center be an exorbitantly priced diorama set) would be to throw Harding into the Triceratops set. But that’s because I read the book and liked Harding in it.
