- Hello Everyone and welcome to my channel! In today’s video, which is actually my 1st TH-cam video (YAY me!), I’m going to give you a tour of our empty new house.
My husband and I started construction on our house in the summer of 2021 and we just closed in March 2022, so it’s been a long process.
This is a semi-custom, new construction house. Total square footage is approximately 3900, with an additional 3300 SF in the unfinished basement. The house sits on 1.25 acres. Also, we’re south of Atlanta, GA, and are considered to be in the Metro Atlanta area.

Beautiful! The hardest part of building is picking out just about everything. You nailed it all! The flooring… the wood floors, the tiles, your light fixtures, paint colors on walls, cabinets, trim…. Outstanding! Can you help me build my home 😂 Great job 👍👏

I love how you’re new construction home doesn’t look extremely cookie cutter. A lot of new construction looks the same even inside. Picking out everything would have stressed me out. So great you had a vision and could manifest it. Turned out great.
Thank you! My husband and I definitely didn't want the "norm" when it came to designing our house. So we were diligent about our selections, which was stressful at times because we had to pick out EVERYTHING! But it all worked out in the end and we love it. Thanks for watching.

The builder is Chris Gibson. He's based out of the south Atlanta metro area.

Hello and thanks for watching! I apologize for the late response, but I am just seeing your message. The builder is Chris Gibson and from what I know, he only builds in SW Atlanta (well south of Atlanta), not SE.
Good luck with the building process -- it can be stressful and overwhelming at times, but it's so worth it!

Beautiful. Do you know the names of the paint color in your office accent wall and the kitchen cabinets ?
Yes, I do! The wall color (and the rest of the trim color) is SW Natural Linen, and the kitchen cabinets' paint color is BM Natural Cream. They're very similar, but the SW Natural Linen has a more beige, taupe-ish undertone.

BEAUTIFUL home. Why didn't you get the counter fridge, which doesn't stand out passed the counter.
Good question. We considered it, but we had two things in mind. 1) We wanted to have more fridge space which the counter depth fridge doesn't have for our needs. And, 2) the counter fridge was on back order and it would take months to get it anyway ☹

Beautiful and awesome details. The house we are getting comes with GE cafe appliances and I would've never thought of getting white. Also I haven't many light wood bathroom cabinets but that is what I wanted so glad to see how you did it.

Our home has 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths with roughly 3900 SF that sits on 1.25 acre lot. We also have a 3300 SF unfinished basement.
