What do you think about the fresnel zone interference making this test not very valid for drones? Bardwell points this out recently, but I am not sure I agree fully, due to a lot of drone pilots flying low cinematic long distance shots that isnt up mountains. Also sometimes I feel penetration takes a lot more power than just pushing the signal farther away, if I am correct. Thanks for this.

Great points! Fresnel zone interference can be a factor, but as you mentioned, many low-altitude, cinematic flights face similar challenges. Penetration often does demand more power, especially in complex environments. Thanks for sharing.

Even the 25mW was remarkably stable. I would have expected a lot more interference a lot earlier

It's pretty much line of sight, so with the high gain AKK antennas on the VTX and RX (which is very good) it will go a long way. But that's much the same for most VTX at 25mW until you get something in the way. High gain RX antennas are key to getting good range because the TX/RX sensitivity degrades using the inverse square law. What's noticeable is the video drops away very quickly on 25mW without much warning compared with the higher outputs. Thanks for your feedback.

But In UK can't do long range in the air.amyway

You’re right about the UK regulations. This VTX is more about testing capabilities than pushing limits. Thanks for watching.

Its ultra large and ultra heavy lol what fpv frame will that fit into for a wing i think its more for, weight and and size is the trade off for 16wat, i find 5 and 7 inch fly better the lighter you can keep them and get better flight times

Absolutely, it’s a beast! Definitely more suited for wings than typical FPV frames. Keeping quads light is key for performance and flight time, so trade-offs are always part of the game. Thanks for sharing your insights 👏👏👏👏

Are there Wattage police out there who can detect what watt you are flying within ? I think not
sure the laws/rules say yada yada, but who is enforcing them ? One with a ham radio may blast someone else and they get reported and then someone may come and check it out BUT how many are getting blasted with a kwad ? ...LOL

Good question! Enforcement is rare unless interference is reported, but flying responsibly is key to avoiding issues. Thanks for the laugh-‘Wattage police’ gave me a chuckle 😀😀😀😀😀😀

Radio inspectors/detection vans are a thing in some countries, but not specifically for "drones"... this was more for amateur radio, and either interference/excessive power/unlicensed frequencies, and was more on a "complaints first" basis ... In other words your milage may vary 😅
