Udaipur is one my favourite cities too. I’ve been there several times. Here’s my recommendation list: have a good coffee at “Jheel cafe” (ground floor) in the morning. Do not consider the widely popular, highly engraved, light weight stone like articles for real marble. They are not. Watch sunset from “Sun N Moon restaurant and cafe” while having some Indian snacks. Have dinner at “Ambrai” at a lake side table. It’s hard to get it but try it for good food and great views. Try vegetarian Rajasthani gatta, keher sangri local specialities and/or Lal maas (Rajasthan speciality very slow cooked meat)

There r house numbers. All houses have house numbers. But in these small lanes people use local references like eg. Behind petrol bunk or near temple etc
It’s the walled city the old udaipur. There are loads of roof top restaurants. The most famous is Natraj and it’s not in the walled city and it does an all you can eat thali many sittings and it’s soooo busy very few westerners know about it! You need an Indian local to really know what’s famous in India 🇮🇳

Most of India🇮🇳 is relatively unspoiled by tourists. It is too bad you couldn't go any further than Udaipur, as it literally gets even better and better the further away you go from the main tourist centers of Mumbai, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur based on all the things that you said you liked. If you want to stay in India🇮🇳, you should think about just flying to Nepal🇳🇵, and getting another tourist visa for India. And "Indian" chicken dishes like chicken tikka masala, butter chicken etc., are widely available in the UK🇬🇧 and west🇨🇦🇺🇸🇩🇪🇱🇺🇨🇮🇮🇹🇫🇷. You should try more of the other things that are not available in the West! 😊

It’s the walled city the old udaipur. There are loads of roof top restaurants. The most famous is Natraj and it’s not in the walled city and it does an all you can eat thali many sittings and it’s soooo busy very few westerners know about it! You need an Indian local to really know what’s famous in India 🇮🇳

Most of India🇮🇳 is relatively unspoiled by tourists.
It is too bad you couldn't go any further than Udaipur, as it literally gets even better and better the further away you go from the main tourist centers of Mumbai, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur based on all the things that you said you liked.
If you want to stay in India🇮🇳, you should think about just flying to Nepal🇳🇵, and getting another tourist visa for India.
And "Indian" chicken dishes like chicken tikka masala, butter chicken etc., are widely available in the UK🇬🇧 and west🇨🇦🇺🇸🇩🇪🇱🇺🇨🇮🇮🇹🇫🇷. You should try more of the other things that are not available in the West! 😊

Udaipur is full of tourist but nowadays its less .there are tons of places in india you will be mesmerised.go to jaisalmer or go to goa
