I have a bolero 2003 model GLX 4×4 power is outstanding with 2.5k CC, this generation bolero is underpower comparing to old bolero.
I really wish mahindra company manufacture 4×4 bolera again .
This car doesn’t need any features or modern things like led, when bad roads like muddy road, flooded road comes it will just go like a boss leaving the air purifiers behind 😁

I have a mm540 for 25 years till date ,a 2017 bolero . I planning to exchange my duster with a Mahindra. MM540-with bucket seats at front awesome ! ,I travel everyday 50-120 kilometres in a jungle sometime carrying 9 passengers , full loads of cements 1.5 tons in a jungle , its a very uselful jeep with 50:50 weight distribution and non radial tyres that perfectly suits all . Bolero - I can tackle bumps and pot holes with complete peace of Mind at 60-70 KMPH . It is soo silent , it’s driving position gives extremely less driver fatigue . So I prefer bolero over BMW X3 personally .bmw - excellent on road ,heavenly seats,heavenly steering , great music system and excellent milage too. But it is not suitable for India . It offers driver fatigue and can’t tackle bumps and pot holes with complete peace of Mind . We need Such a car I.e bolero and Iam looking for MM540 comeback from Mahindra .
Bmw spares are 10 times expensive and Iam scared to thud over.Even duster has stiff suspension, NVF , longer than bolero , driver fatigue and driver position not great as bolero . All European cars are great only on good roads and definitely not suitable for India 100% .Instead of aspiring to buy a Toyota Land Cruiser one can own a bolero its a pragmatic option and does the job 100% .But if you want to go for a family tour or flaunt take another car that’s the thing
And the best thing about bolero is that when it is fully loaded it become more Powerful and balanced unlike other cars

That space below AC vent is not for storage but for fixing up any accessory switch or so, for example extra lights or something you can fit in and have a small switch board fitted in that space.
The "choti si " space under that Ac vent is specifically designed for holding "gaichap 🐄" 😸

Bolero is like bullet of cars. Bullet didn't even have a fuel gauge. And yet the best and most affordable.
As per my understanding, There will be not a major facelift until 2023-24 in Bolero as Mahindra needs to grab chunk of revenue via Mahindra Thar and XUV 700 after that this Bolero May be bulked to look alike G Wagon and will come in Premium segment and this design will be assigned to bolero neo which will be a budgeted version of mahindras.
Bolero 2005 is a pure beast. In our villag once a tata zest was stuck in mid in an uphill. But our bolero picked it up easily. On that days bolero came with Dl engine. 2500 cc. I was a kid at that time and I was shocked on seeing the power of bolero

i own a bolero and i am not happy with the car. You cant over take other vehicles power is minimal and cabin insulation is the worst max u can go is 90kmph and after that car is not in your control. suspension is the worst even a small pot hole u can feel the impact. yes its undestroyable it takes on any terrain smoothly but comfort wise it lack a lot You dont feel comfortable in the front seats and rear too rear seat position is upright and on long rides your are gonna have back and neck pains i am 6'2 and for me and my seating position its hard to read the instrument cluster and stearing is fix no adjustment offered. and for your car to reach 60+ u need to change 4 gears. gear changing is a lot it takes time to pick up the speed
That's why we Love bolero

This is my honest review about bolero... Since the last ten years I have been saving to purchase this car... No other car has come to my mind..except bolero...
I love the new look....the spacing...and the driving experience.. especially the pick up regarding 3rd gear..it packs a punch really.. BS6 compared with older models... Only the windshield AC is not working ( real drawback) and the inbuilt speakers are not that good. .. engine noise is reduced drastically....overall...no regrets...love this car
There was another legend Qualis miss it badly on roads....
This is nothing in front of new TATA lineup.
TATA is the best Indian car manufacturer.

It's all about the torque and the type of gearing. Bolero's customer base doesn't care that much about bhp.
